Re: Nimmo - Is he the sort of player who will have a decent career simply due to his excellent obp skills? How do you project that on the highest level?
Re: Molina - Based on some video I've seen and from a lot of reports, he seems to have, how shall we say, a funky delivery that seems to put a lot of stress on his arm. Should Mets fans be overly concerned about it?
Thanks! Definitely a player I'm looking forward to following. That team was definitely interesting between Becerra, Luis Guillorme, Ivan Wilson, Blake Taylor and Brandon Brosher (at least for the week before he got hurt)
What are your thoughts on Wuilmer Becerra who I was hoping would maybe sneak into the prospects on the rise section? Lots of ppl seem to think he may have a possible really good upside. Is he legit?
Aesome stuff as usual.
Parks' report on Meisner wasn't all that effusive from when he saw him but it appeared that Meisner improved greatly as the season went along - was that the case? Does he now look better than that original meh report indicated?
Any chance Montero or Thor (or both) make it up to the bigs this year?
What do you make of those sources who say he's at same level as Syndergaard? Are they just super low on Thor, way too high on Matz or is there some actual legitimacy to that?
Thanks Jason, what do you see as the main difference between Matz and a guy like Daniel Norris who seems to have a fairly similar profile?
As does the syndegaard link
Is Urena someone to look out for? Legit prospect? I, for one, am pretty intrigued by him.....
is that saying matz is ahead or ynoa is ahead?
How would you rank Ynoa against his (now former) teammate Stephen Matz? Slightly less upside but less risky?
Great piece Jason, I think it's fantastic for people to do self reviews on themselves. Shows a lot of #want. Anyhow, obviously over the course of researching this you have at least somewhat changed your perception of Nimmo and I'm wondering what is it that changed? Do you now view his tools as higher now that potential bias is off? Do you now view his ceiling as being higher? Speaking of which, what do you think his ultimate ceiling is?
What;'s Nimmo's ceiling? Can he possibly end up like Shin Soo-Choo: lefty, decent avg, excellent OBP, decent power, decent runner but maybe with better defense?
Jeff, do you think Shin Soo Choo would be a good comp for Nimmo if everything works out for him? I see a lefty w/ decent avg, high OBP, decent power, decent speed who can fake it in center.
Jason - I know you're really high on Rosario. Do you see any chance that his upside could be on par w/ all the shortstops listed in this group or is his upside at a level below? Thanks.
what is it about bogaerts (aside from the fact that he's currently a big leaguer) that would have you choosing him over lindor and baez?
mets and giants still have the advantage over the jays since at least they have far more young pitching talent already graduated to the majors. were you to put harvey, wheeler and mejia (all reasonably prospect aged) in the mets farm system, it'd be absurd. then again, i guess that's partly what the under 25 rankings are for ;)
Is there any system that has more pitching depth than the Mets have?
Hey Jason, thanks and excellent work as always. How many Mets pitchers not on the list here do you think have a somewhat realistic projection of at least a #3-4 starter? The fact that Ynoa, Matz, Flexen, Fullmer, Matz, Tapia, Cessa and Meisner etc are all below top 10 really speaks tons about how deep the group is
