The <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=107168">Dansby Swanson</a></span> bit is especially funny two years later.

I can't help but wonder if you'll do this with relief pitchers as well, because the first player I thought of was <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=35863">Santiago Casilla</a></span>.

I'd express my surprise for <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=51985">Justin Upton</a></span> in that regard.

What I wouldn't give to see Bader, Mader and <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=101384">Josh Hader</a></span> on the same team someday.

And that's to say nothing of guys like <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/player_search.php?search_name=Tim+Anderson">Tim Anderson</a></span>, who just got called up, too, and <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=57758">Brandon Crawford</a></span>, who's a little bit older and thus outside the purview of this particular article.

I was all set to see him here in Fresno tonight, but such is life in a AAA town.

Let's say you need to start Leake or Wood, though. Who's your poison?

So maybe it's too late to get an answer, but it looks like <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=66991">Mike Foltynewicz</a></span> is starting for Atlanta against the Mets tomorrow. Assuming he snags <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=50098">Bud Norris</a></span>' two games, where would he be on the overall ladder?

I'm starting to think the last option might be best because, despite my preseason intentions, I have something like nine or ten top-50 prospects already and my team's been hit pretty hard by injury (Schwarber, Heaney, Romo, etc). I'm invested in fair play, after all, so even though call-ups are bound to happen at some point, too many appearances by AAA-whomever could throw off competitive balance if I leave it be for another month.

But what if it's NL-only, do you take <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=58410">Lance Lynn</a></span> or something?

With the ongoing discussion you all have for being in or out of competing in a given year, does it change how you treat the supplemental picks if you know your window is in the future?

^5, Chris. I can't wait 'til the Grizzlies get to town next weekend for the opening homestand.

About how long they'd been dating to begin with, didn't Stephanie Tanner mention that one of her suitors was a baseball player in the Valentine's Day episode, "War of the Roses"? If that's the case, then they would've been dating since right before spring training started, in which case <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=45465">Hunter Pence</a></span> would've been 0-for-the-season, in which case he probably would not have been in the starting lineup for very long. I imagine <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=19258">Bruce Bochy</a></span> would've let <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=31340">Gregor Blanco</a></span> started a game or two.

Okay, so I have to ask. I'm not sure why, but <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=103751">Kyle Schwarber</a></span> was let go from another team's keeper list in my league. I'd assume he's the no-brainer first pick in this instance, but it feels strange that he's available at all. Is it worth raising the concern in the league, or should I just grab him and begin rebuilding in relative peace?

I think the thing with Diaz, at the very least, is that his vital info (DOB, height, weight, etc.) is exactly the same as <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=70803">Anthony DeSclafani</a></span>'s.

Clearly, <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=102668">Ryan McMahon</a></span>'s nickname should be "Ice", like Ice McMahon, which is kinda like "Iceman" which recalls the beach volleyball scene in Top Gun. Also, this made me feel much better about dealing for McMahon in recent days.

I'm really glad I got to see Correa play one time here in town. He destroyed a baseball and nearly cleared the Luftenberg's building in doing so. That guy's going to be really good.

I suppose I could've said the same thing about <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=70387">Javier Baez</a></span> and (though he's not mentioned here) <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=68520">Kris Bryant</a></span>. That situation would actually be more relevant to my own team, so who is it that's supposed to be starting at second and third for the Cubs, anyway? Would they be worth monitoring?

And a lot of folks around here were bemoaning the move, but honestly I'm hoping a few of those Astros prospects make it to the Valley at some point this year.

So I should maybe dump my Yonder Alonso/Gaby Sanchez platoon from last year, yes? Okay, then!

I'd be interested in knowing more about this, as well. It's a large part of the reason why I jumped on Yadier Molina fairly early in the draft last year, especially the opponents' SB figure.

I think part of my reluctance to make trades is because I don't have a good feel for what's fair or what's not. I didn't have to make any my first year, and as a serious contender right now in my year one of a keeper league I really don't want to unwittingly undermine myself. Then again, there's been exactly one in-season deal for the entire league so far, so maybe everyone is just biding their time to some extent.

It seems to be like AA is taking a page from Brian Sabean's notebook, which is that even above-average cores can be hit or miss for unforseeable reasons. Injuries happen, underperformance happens, but those aren't always reasons to reshuffle the deck. Talent is talent.

Do you think it means anything that 8 of the 10 guys are pitching in the American League?

I've read Kahneman's best seller, but I wasn't really thinking about it when I started my draft the other day. Andrew McCutchen would have been the safe bet with the second overall pick, but Troy Tulowitzki has the higher ceiling. He's got that injury risk, but "no guts, no glory" seems applicable here.

You know, if the A's beat the Dodgers to get to the World Series, that'd really be something.

Excellent stuff, but I have to ask: How many of those Giants prospects in Richmond might see significant action in AAA Fresno in 2014? I'm hoping to get some must-see baseball here in town!
