As you get the feel from the first two seconds of this clip, this insufferable Jack Jones New-Yorker ad ran countless times during the '75 series, particularly in Game 6... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTjXMrlaIk4

Re: 7. Ellie Hendricks glove-tag of Bernie Carbo... The Sunday after Game 1, the NBC pre-game show spent the entire 15 minutes talking about this play...We all got to see the replay 10 times...Yes, Hendricks missed the tag --- BUT CARBO NEVER TOUCHED THE PLATE... Sparky Anderson came out and argued for 5 minutes, with Carbo standing next to him (this all took place around home plate). Finally on the way back to the dugout with Anderson, Carbo just happened to touch the plate (irony noted by Curt Gowdy in the 1970 Coca-Cola-sponsored film that was made (annually) on the WS, and was a hot-stove highlight for baseball fans when it came out in the winter)....

Every Oriole fan's favorite: Swarthmore College graduate Dick Hall!!...Great delivery, never walked a guy, helped them win 4 pennants, and even profiled in the "The Great American Baseball Card Flipping, Trading and Bubble Gum Book."

I have a couple of AL-Only questions: 1. How is David Lough affected by this Maxwell trade? He'll lose ABs against LHP, which might not be so bad since he had a large platoon split in the minors, but then again not so much in the majors... 2. Is Oswaldo Arcia worth grabbing? I assume yes..What R-HR-RBI-AVG can we exepct the rest of the way? Pillar > Arcia or = or <.... Thanks

I've been holding onto Springer for about a month in an AL-Only (non-keeper)...We don't have many bench spots, so I have to make them count...Your advice has me now deciding whether I should drop Springer for Bogaerts... You mention that Springer isn't even on the 40-man roster as a reason that he's not coming up soon...But Bogaerts isn't on his team's 40-man roster either... Is there any gain for either organization in putting them on the 40-man roster at any point before they either are (a) going to call them up to the majors or (b) have to put them on the 40-man because of service time...In other words, does not putting them on the 40-man roster before they have to tell you anything about when they might get called up?

Alert! You all need to "Fantasize" the Stash List, so those cheap-os like me can get access to it....As it stands now, it doesn't have the blue-blocked F next to it, so I can't get access to the article --- and I NEED that stash list!! Thanks!

Look, no offense, but if the only AL-Only hitter you're going to give us is Travis Ishikawa, you need to re-work how you do the column...This guy is WELL BELOW the Chris-Parmalee Soviet-Safeway lower bound...

What about Jeff Keppinger to the Orioles?...He'd come very cheap since the White Sox have totally given up on him...

I have 3 questions for you regarding an AL-Only (single season) league: 1. Is it time to dump Dan Straily?...Should I be patient for another month or just forget it? 2. Ahead of time here, who do you think gets the start for the Rays in Price's stead-- Chris Archer, Jake Odorizzi, Alex Colome, or Alex Torres? It looks as though Archer is NOt getting pulled from tonight's (Thursday) start? 3. Is Ubaldo Jimenez going to keep this up? Thanks...

Any comment/thoughts on Grant Green or David Phelps (had a tough week)?....Phelps seems to be the Yankees Smyly/Straily and Green was mentioned just last week in the weekly AL column...

This is also why I avoided Andy Etchebarren in the 1966 AL-Only draft, and went with Paul Casanova instead -- I got lucky because Jose Azcue was taken one spot before I drafted...

Hi..In a 5x5 10-team AL-only, could you rank the following pitchers for me and draw a line separating those that I should roster from those that are not worth it...Thanks...OK, here goes: Myers, McAllister, Corriea, Pelfrey, Axelrod, Guthrie, Mendoza, J Saunders, Tepesch, Bedard, Humber, Lackey, Roberto Hernandez...
