For me, you have to be dominant for a 2 year stretch in a manner that's aesthetically pleasing to me. So the relievers that I will go out of my way to watch are <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=53014">Aroldis Chapman</a></span>, <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=49775">Dellin Betances</a></span>, <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=49617">Andrew Miller</a></span>, and <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=58350">Craig Kimbrel</a></span>. Zack Britton is close to being on that list. <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=60664">Trevor Rosenthal</a></span> and <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=44014">Koji Uehara</a></span> used to be on that list. Venters was on that list in his prime, as was <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=51190">Neftali Feliz</a></span>.

If you're looking for real analysis, you should go to BOFA instead. They'll have you covered.

Uh, the Reds are set to lose both <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=47415">Johnny Cueto</a></span> and <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=61051">Mike Leake</a></span> in free agency. They are very clearly in win-now mode, and if putting <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=70349">Tony Cingrani</a></span> in the bullpen helps them win in 2015- I can't really blame them for it. Sure, I would love it for the guy to start (just like I would have loved for <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=53014">Aroldis Chapman</a></span> to have started) and I think the Reds should consider Cingrani in that role again if the opportunity arises, but the writer's conclusion is faulty.

Great, thank you for answering. I will hold off renewing my MLB.TV for the moment.

Yeah, I was wondering this as well. I also sent an email to this end last week and haven't heard back.

I would say that Chris Heisey's pinch-hitting prowess is due to his ability to hit fastballs. He has an aggressive approach early in a pinch hit at-bat, which yields fastballs. When he plays for an extended period of time (due to injury of another outfielder), his weakness is exposed (breaking balls and over aggressive approach).

Jason, your special Q-rub of narcissism and knowledgitude is my favorite thing on this site. And the Chat Accountability is my favorite version of said rub. Now if Ihadn't just bid the farm for Eric Hosmer in my dynasty league.

Sam, that scouting report of Jimmy Barrett from 2003 is actually a player screen from an old version of the PC game Out of the Park Baseball. It's not "real".

Jason, you said before you planned reports on some unidentified Reds players. Did a) I miss them, b) you not see them, or c) all the Reds players in instructional league prove uninspiring?

Looks like Jose Campos' numbers are a little off. http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=campos003jos

Hey Ben, Great job and everything so far- but can I ask you to put the player positions and level classifications (AAA, AA) on each listing the way Christina used to do? I follow minor-league baseball closer than many fans but I still don't know much about a fair amount of these callups. Thanks.

Christina, I've been reading your column for quite a while. And to this day, I have never seen anyone else but you call Great American Ball Park "the Gap". I know that the nickname makes reasonable sense, given the abbreviation and the "notch" built into the park's outfield- but you just don't hear or see the nickname from anyone else out there. Just thought you might like to know that.
