Agreed, Oakland or San Francisco would have been a nice addition.
I've done my fair share of rebuilding, and this is what I've found is the fastest path in the auction:
Buy the elite player(s) and flip them asap to the rest of league post auction.
You'll have a large stable of potential buyers and will return the best long-term value.
Spending your cap on sleepers and potential keepers has never worked for me. I end up competing with 3-4 other rebuilding teams and the prices end up going way over what would make them attractive.
I'd rather take a teams 1st round pick and elite prospect for <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=59432">Mike Trout</a></span> than have 2-3 overpriced potential keepers.
Scooter, this is a great piece. I always find the closer articles to contribute a lot of value as up and coming <span class="statdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/glossary/index.php?search=RP" onmouseover="doTooltip(event, jpfl_getStat('RP'))" onmouseout="hideTip()">RP</span></a> I can get for $1 can turn into $20 closers.
Will you be doing this for the AL?
What happened to Luis Sardinas, ranked 72 in the top 101 prospects list?
Doh, I'll see him in the DH ratings. It's early!!!
First let me say that I greatly enjoy your products. In using the PFM, is there a way to upload a file to quickly update the taken players?
Also, in your product roadmap, is there any plans to connect PFM via API hookups with Yahoo?
