Wow, what happened to Chris Nelson? No mention even?

How do you know they haven't made an acceptable offer? It sounds as if Lincecum doesn't even want to hear their offer and would prefer to let the panel decide.

Perhaps I'm jaded beacuase everytime I see Lincecum he looks as dominant as anyone I've ever seen, but the player who hadn't faced Lincecum sounds like a complete moron and a guy who won't be facing big league pitching for much longer. And my favorite pie is any. Great race this year, all 3 top guys would be deserving winners.

There's your answer Will. I'm guessing the "Vlad the Impaler" nickname could carry him further than Rice in this regard. Barring some future PED info (the caveat we will now always include?) you can book the Cooperstown plaque now.

I could really care less about KK or the Royals in general, but I thought this was a damn good article Tim. I hope you have nothing to worry about this week. And an AD mention/quote in the comments? Anyone who doesn't vote deserves another: "Oh, come on!".

This is how I feel. You guys had weeks (months?) to narrow your selections down. Granted, you had many, many more than ten to go through. But I would think that would at least clued you guys in to how much time should be spent reviewing each submission. At the very least it's really refreshing to see how seriously the subscribers here are taking this competition. We all pay for this website and love it dearly, and want to make sure the best new writer is selected. So give us the chance, eh?

Which didn't keep LaRussa from jumping in on the fun. Definitely a spot I'd like to see "cleaned up" if we're gonna move on to more pressing issues. I will never understand what makes these guys get behind the wheel completely sloshed. On some level I understand the drunk that can't afford a cab after spending all his money on booze, but athletes and execs have the dough to grab a cab, no?

It sickens me to see people after each positive test come out and say "at least so and so is still clean". Horsesh*t. Sorry guys, they're ALL users. Griffey, Jeter, Chipper, Nolan Ryan, Ripken and everyone else who is/was your baseball hero since the early 80's. Wake up. This is what contributes to the ongoing "breaking story" nonsense each week. I guess we'll have to go through all of them by process of elimination until we finish off your "clean" list. Over/under on this post being below the threshold to view: 20 minutes. Seriously everyone, wake the f up.

It\'s a great point and one MLB should answer. I\'m all for baseball having a year \'round network; but if they\'re going to be sugar-coating everything, this channel is going to fall far short of the expectaions/wishes people who frequent places like this site have.
