A nice write up. The image used for <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=106898">Chris Shaw</a></span>'s fantasy take caused me to chuckle. Well done.
Maybe the Braves? They don't have the most high end prospects of any team but they have a ton of good ones.
Kyle Muller/Christian Pache vs. <span class="playerdef"><a href="http://www.baseballprospectus.com/card/card.php?id=106217">Jahmai Jones</a></span>? Muller and Pache didn't make the list BP list for Atlanta. Would Jones?
Nice article. Two things: McCann was traded to Houston not Atlanta and when you say Sanchez's whiffs of on pitches are typical for a rookie is there evidence to back this up? I'd be interested in seeing data that shows how rookies improve on these pitches with experience.
Carlos Santana might want to watch his left foot on his bunt attempts.
I'd read one of these every single day if possible. Thanks, Sam.
LOVE the tool grades graph. That's pretty cool stuff right there.
Thank you to the Japanese who made this remix possible.
Lewis Brinson makes me want to cry.
I try to read this column every day. Thanks for the fun summer.
Re: Bradley. Call him up and just let him go.
Wow, what a surprise!
I loved the interview along with the video of him warming up. This was pretty great and I hope to see more!
Love this series. I agree that Jackie Robinson was the perfect choice.
Happy to see this. Thanks for all your hard work!
What's your prediction on Grant Green this year? I believe I read he'll be in competition with J. Weeks and Sizemore for the starting 2B job in spring but he played plenty of outfield last year as well. What would you say his odds are on making the opening day roster? Thanks for all your hard work!
Diaz would be your 4th outfielder since the other three (Schafer, Heyward, McLouth) are all LH. There are no decent alternatives at 1b that Atlanta would be willing to go for so offering LaRoche arbitration seems most likely.
It's possible Atlanta could trade Diaz/Johnson/SP for a power hitter + bench parts/reliever
How about instead of ERA compare Actual runs allowed vs projected?
I think one of the weirder players to go on to become a coach has to be Ted Simmons. By all I accounts I\'ve heard, he was a clubhouse lawyer that divided the locker room.
For current guys what about ARod as manager? Wily Mo Pena? Orlando Cabrera? Gary Sheffield? Jose Guillen! I guess off this list I\'d go Wily Mo by a hair over ARod.
