Kalish blicked in Boston? I think most Sox fans expect to see him take over RF from JD Drew in 2012.

Shouldn't Kevin Youkilis be listed in the Third Base Rankings?

I've worn Red Sox gear into Yankee Stadium on plenty of occasions, and also in the Yankee Tavern across the street, and on the subway before and after games. Never had a problem.

Clay Buchholz red? The fingernail injury — or is the system projecting a big innings jump for him?

This Red Sox fan joins NYYanks in wishing the BP staff a happy and healthy holiday season, and in thanking them for the quality product they provide us year round.

OMG, you mean the baseball season doesn't begin on December 23?

Thanks for the explanation, Clay.

I'm not so sure it's a programming error or typo. With these RS and RA numbers, and a straight RS^2/(RS^2 + RA^2) calculation — yes, I know the methocd Clay uses to derive his numbers is a lot more involved than that, but it's a good first order approximation — I get 98 wins for the Yankees, 94 for the Red Sox and 93 for the Rays. I do think the Yankees' projections are based on some extremely optimistic assumptions regarding their pitching staff, for example 200 IP from AJ in a non-contract year.

I have to agree that some information about what changed with each update would be helpful. On what basis, for example, did the Yankees shoot up to 100 games and the Sox sink to 95? Surely it isn't because Cody Ransom is that good?
