Ding! Toward the end of his career, I always used to root for Yan to get an at-bat, just to see what would happen. But he kept on signing with AL teams.

Nope to the above -- and the player's career slash line is 1.000/1.000/2.500.

Keith McDonald has the most career home runs of any player that finished his career with more home runs than strikeouts. Truly a special player. And, a possible "unbreakable" record: what player whose career AVG is 1.000 played in the most games?

A question: how much emphasis do you put on (a) position, and (b) longevity? I ask because I\'m intrigued by your selection of Parker and Baines, but not Trammell, whose shorter career and slightly worse numbers are (at least partly) made up for by his positional advantage.

Good assessment, and I agree wholeheartedly about the AL West and the Mariners CF defense, but one nitpick: \"The Twins? It\'s close; they don\'t have anyone with the upside of Hernandez or Morrow.\" I\'m pretty sure that Francisco Liriano has more upside than Morrow.
