DateQuestionAnswer
2010-04-08 14:00:00 (link to chat)How do you rank Justin Jackson, Tyler Pastornicky, Gustavo Pierre and Hechevarria?
(Bill from Toronto)
Hechevarria, Pierre, big gap, Jackson, Pastornicky. Pierre is a great sleeper in a system desperate for one. (Kevin Goldstein)
2010-03-03 14:00:00 (link to chat)Any hope left for Justin Jackson?
(Mark from Toronto)
Just a tiny tiny bit. (Kevin Goldstein)
2009-12-11 13:00:00 (link to chat)Is there any hope left for your 2009 sleeper prospect, Justin Jackson? I see a player that has trouble making contact, doesn't have power, and is still very raw in the field. The only plus skill he has right now is drawing walks.
(Ron from Vancouver)
I think there's a glimmer of hope, and I think he's much better defensively than you state here. (Kevin Goldstein)
2009-05-07 14:00:00 (link to chat)What happened to your sleeper prospect Justin Jackson?
(Ron from Vancouver)
He's a very hard sleeper. I can't hit on everyone, ya know? (Kevin Goldstein)
2009-02-16 14:00:00 (link to chat)Few 2007 1st rounders that could possibly break out this year: Chris Withrow and Neil Ramirez. Yay or nay?
(Ronald Reagan from GA)
I'm gonna go nay, yay, and then throw in Justin Jackson for fun. (Kevin Goldstein)
2009-02-16 14:00:00 (link to chat)What kind of "breakout" do you expect from Justin Jackson? Also, do you think Kevin Ahrens will step up his game at all?
(Bill from Toronto)
I'm far more optimistic on Jackson, Ahrens was just one of those guys where you'd go to the game and sit with scouts and they'd turn to you at some point and say, "really? he was first round?" I could see Jackson turning into this .260 hitter with a lot of walks, plus defense and speed. Kinda a unique old-school shortstop. (Kevin Goldstein)
2008-09-03 14:00:00 (link to chat)It's a given Snider will make an apperance high in the top 100 but what about guys like Cecil, Mills and even Ricky Romero now that he's showing some progress? Anyone else I'm missing?
(Taylor from Toronto)
Justin Jackson -- I'm still a big big fan. (Kevin Goldstein)
2008-08-13 14:00:00 (link to chat)Sure-bet, offensive-plus shortstops currently from High A-ball on down? Does such a thing exist? How close would Justin Jackson be to fitting such a descrip?
(jedjethro from The cement pond)
Wait a second, you want to put a 'sure-bet' on a guy hitting .251 in Low A with 130 strikeouts in 107 games? Really? Keep in mind that I'm one of his biggest supporters. (Kevin Goldstein)
2008-05-05 12:30:00 (link to chat)Justin Jackson seems to be doing quite well for such a young player, what kind of potential does he have?
(Taylor from Toronto)
Contrary to Aumont, Jackson was not one of My Guys, but definitely won of Kevin Goldstein's guys. He liked him better than Kozma from the start. Jackson looks to be everything you would want in a leadoff guy -- patience, moderate power. I'm not sure he isn't a 2B in the end, but that doesn't matter at this point, because he's a great bet to be something. (Bryan Smith)

2008-04-23 13:00:00 (link to chat)The Lansing Lugnuts have an interesting team loaded with players from the Jays '07 draft, any guys that really impress you?
(Bill from Toronto)
TONS. I like Kevin Ahrens, I LOVE Justin Jackson and I think Yoherman Chavez is underrated. The future of the Jays really does reside in Lansing right now. (Kevin Goldstein)
