BP Annual Player Comments

YearComment
2000 He doesn’t have enough power to be a major-league starter, but if Orlando Merced can collect major-league paychecks, there really should be room for Zuber on someone’s bench.
1997 He weighed just 135 pounds coming out of high school, and jokes about being on a weight watch with John Kruk—Kruk to lose it, him to gain it. It hasn’t helped him any in the power department, but the other parts of his game: average, strike zone judgment and defense, are good.
1996  Mediocre first baseman, the organization's major strength in the minors; Zuber is best described as a pale imitation of the immortal Mike Twardoski. He has a very good defensive reputation.
