DateQuestionAnswer
2014-05-29 19:30:00 (link to chat)More HRs over the next five years: Chris Davis or Khris Davis?
(MN Joe from Brooklyn, NY)
Chris. Tell Will I say hey. (Ben Carsley)
2014-06-17 20:00:00 (link to chat)Who is the player you find yourself overvaluing (or just ending up with on your team) more than others?
(Kel from Goodburger)
Is it too cliche to say Adam Dunn? We went around the table on this one and here's what we got: Ben: "I have a soft spot for Evan Longoria that results in what we have come to call irrational affection." Ian: "In general, I'll overvalue prospects relative to my colleagues, or possibly sanity, would dictate. In particular, I'll remember prospect value even after the majors has gotten in the way, so I'll be one of the last off the Jason Heyward train, for example." Jared: "I tend to have a special fondness for guys who can mash the ball, without stopping to think too much about whether they can get on base. Like, say, Khris Davis. Or Chris Davis. Or any other variant thereof." Ben adds: "...like Mark Trumbo!" (Scoresheet Chat with Ben, Jared, and Ian)
2014-04-24 13:00:00 (link to chat)Khris Davis, big sleeper, only 2 homers so far. Overhyped, or possibly starting to breakout?
(Hank from LA)
On pace for 17 HRs (if he played all 162 games), but if he had 3 HRs already, it'd be 25 which is exactly what I was hoping for out of him. Sit tight with him. (Paul Sporer)
2014-04-03 19:30:00 (link to chat)Khris Davis for Rizzo - which side do you like?
(Night Hawk from Illinois)
As down as I've been on Rizzo I think he's the far safer investment. I'll take him. (Craig Goldstein)
2014-03-27 13:00:00 (link to chat)RJ,who gets dropped in my H2H Brantley,Gattis,C.Johnson or k.Davis.Thanks for any help
(Chesty from New Bern NC)
Gattis or Khris Davis for me. (R.J. Anderson)
2014-03-24 13:00:00 (link to chat)Who do you like best as a 3rd OFer in 2014: Khris Davis, Oswaldo Arcia, Will Venable
(Alex from Chicago)
Venable, Davis, Arcia for me (Paul Sporer)
2014-02-26 19:00:00 (link to chat)Can Kris Davis hit 25 + HRs? Do you like him more than Abreau?
(Walker from Ohio)
I don't think so and no, I would go with Abreu over Khris Davis. (Mauricio Rubio)
2014-01-21 18:00:00 (link to chat)Hello Mike With an OF J-Up Cargo Bruce who do you feel is the better for the 4 OF K,Davis or Oswaldo.? And what there upside.
(jim from tampa)
Of the two I feel like Oswaldo Arcia has more reliability but Khris Davis has more upside. I think I would go with the better prospect/long term player in Arcia and hope that Davis' hot numbers in a small sample size were fluky. The exception might be in a one-and-done (redraft league). (Mike Gianella)
2014-01-17 10:00:00 (link to chat)George Springer or Khris Davis will make a bigger splash in 2014?
(SCSC84 from PA)
Springer (Jason Parks)
2014-01-10 13:00:00 (link to chat)Can you tell me who you expect to be better in the short-term and long-term: Khris Davis or Kole Calhoun?
(Jimbo from STL)
I don't expect a huge return from either over the long term, but I believe a tiny bit more in Davis' bat. (Mark Anderson)
2014-01-10 13:00:00 (link to chat)What do you see in Khris Davis and Oswaldo Arcia are they the hitter everyone says he is we just have very little to go by?
(OB1quigon from Tampa)
I don't expect Davis to mash long term. I think he can be a useful piece for the Brewers, but not a centerpiece. Arcia can rake and I expect him to hit and hit a lot for a long time. (Mark Anderson)
2013-12-17 13:00:00 (link to chat)Which do you think will have the best career? Marcell Ozuna, Jake Marisnick, Michael Choice, Khris Davis? And can you rank the 4 for career? Thanks!
(TheKernel from Pasadena)
I would take Marisnick.

Marisnick, Choice, Ozuna, Davis (Jason Parks)
2013-11-12 13:00:00 (link to chat)Will Khris Davis get a starting job this spring? If so, Milwaukee or elsewhere? Lastly, what kind of numbers is he likely to put up? Cheers...
(Brewin from Gasthaus)
Yes, in Milwaukee, and .234/.311/.477. He's going to be your favorite player at some point. (Sam Miller)
2013-10-15 13:00:00 (link to chat)Khris Davis. What do we have here?
(Ted Theodore Logan from San Dimas, CA)
San Dimas High School Football Rules (Jason Parks)
2013-08-22 13:00:00 (link to chat)Long term prognosis for Junior Lake & Khris Davis ?

2013-08-27 13:00:00 (link to chat)Does Khris Davis have a job next year when Braun returns ?
(Bob from Madison, WI)
4th OF maybe (Harry Pavlidis)
2013-05-29 18:30:00 (link to chat)In an NL-only deep Ultra dynasty league, I was recently offered Cliff Lee for Michael Wacha, Luis Valbuena, Daniel Hudson, Jameson Taillon and Chris Heisey. I thought I was being asked tp give up too much, and asked for more in return. Lee's owner then turned around and traded Lee for Randall Delgado, Dave Sappelt, Tyler Cloyd, Francisco Peguero and Khris Davis. This deal struck me as either ludicrous or retaliatory: He gave up up top starter (Lee has had four excellent starts since then) for three fifth outfielders and two fifth starters. Am I wrong to think these two offers are not on the same planet?

Hi Gerry.

Without knowing the salaries/contracts of the players involved, I'd agree that the two offers don't compare. Taillon and Wacha are both potentially #2 starters for your future team and Hudson is a good bounce back candidate assuming health. Even if I'm being generous, I don't see how Delgado and Cloyd are going to be better than Taillon and Wacha, and the hitters really seem like bench guys who maybe start at some point if they get really, really lucky. My guess is that the deal was ludicrous rather than retaliatory, but you have every right to be annoyed at your league mate. (Mike Gianella)
2011-06-27 14:00:00 (link to chat)Thanks for answering the first question about Russell Wilson. He just committed to UW-Madison for football (in case you did not hear). One more question. Khristopher Davis is hitting well for the Brewers at Brevard County. Any chance he can become anything or does he need to do it at AA to get any actual attention? Age working against him?
(Kyle from Madison WI)
I did see that for Wilson, and I guess he's a pretty good QB, I wouldn't know. I actually kind of like Davis, but yes, he'll need to keep proving it. I still think he could get to the big leagues, which would exceed expectations. (Kevin Goldstein)
