2010 Without even seeing a photograph, one can get a good mental picture with just a few numbers: his height and weight, plus 9.6 K/9 and 5.0 BB/9. These numbers scream intimidating power pitcher, albeit one with some control issues, and that's exactly what we have. Acquired from Colorado for Rafael Betancourt during the 2009 fire sale, he throws a mid-90s fastball with some sink and a slider. A closer in college, finding a third pitch and his command have both been slow in coming. With all of the other recently acquired young arms in the system, Graham seems a candidate for the pen. Given the sorry state of the major-league relief corps, this would likely put Graham on the fast track.
2009 Right-hander Connor Graham is a mountain of a man who can touch 97 mph and limited Sally League hitters to a .189 batting average, but he also hands out walks like a politician making promises.
