2014-02-26 19:00:00 (link to chat)Everyone's talking about all the possibilities for the 5th Blue Jays starter, but no one seems to be talking up me. Why not, I'm healthy again.
(Kyle Drabek from TheT.O.dog)
It's probably got something to do with your walk rates over your career. You've pitched in MLB for parts of four seasons and have had a BB% over 10 in three of them. That being said, I'm not a big Esmil Rogers fan and I don't trust Brandon Morrow at all. It's likely you and Sean Nolin will be in the mix. (Mauricio Rubio)
2013-07-25 13:00:00 (link to chat)Does a pitcher with a delivery like Esmil Rogers who seems to put a lot of strain on his arm cause a lot of concern about his durability? How would you try to prevent an injury for a pitcher like Rogers if your a manager or in the front office?
(Alex from Toronto)
Yes, he scares the crap out of me. I don't think you can prevent it. I think you let him rip it until it rips off. (Jason Parks)
2013-06-20 13:00:00 (link to chat)In a 20 team dynasty league, would you drop Jacob Turner, Esmil Rogers, or Nate Eovaldi when Erasmo becomes active?
(Al from NC)
Esmil. (Paul Sporer)
2013-03-20 11:00:00 (link to chat)Greetings from the land of Rush. Who should I use as my closer this year? If it isn't Janssen or Santos, which other live arm in my pen should I be looking at?
(John Gibbons from Toronto, Ontario)
I'm a big Santos fan and thought he'd be effective in the role last year, but obviously health is a concern. Jason Collette and I were just discussing this offline this morning, and he's bullish on Steve Delabar and Esmil Rogers as deep sleepers should neither of the top two options be able to ring the bell. I'd like to say those were my great suggestions but I can't steal Jason's thunder. (Cory Schwartz)
2011-04-12 13:00:00 (link to chat)What about Esmil Rogers this year? I know it's just one game but he looked filthy. I've heard his stuff is not that far from Ubaldo, or is that crazy talk?
(Rob from Alaska)
Rogers may look good, but that's probably crazy talk. He's more of a back-end option. (Ben Lindbergh)
