BP Chats

| 2009-10-11 13:00:00 | Are there any historical comps for Jose Reyes' injury history, and if so, does Reyes have a happy future ahead? (dianagramr from NYC) | There are a lot of guys with hamstring issues. What there aren't are a lot of guys who had these issues and stayed an elite player. Look at the speed guys throughout history and you'll seldom see a drop. They started fast, stayed fast, and only trended down with age and even then, more slowly than most would expect. The question now is what is Jose Reyes without his speed? Is he Tony Fernandez or can he become something more like Carlos Beltran? (Will Carroll) |
| 2008-03-11 12:00:00 | Thanks for the chat Joe. As a Dodger fan I have been getting a sinking feeling about the upcoming season. Is Joe Torre the right man for the job? (jtrichey from Indianapolis) | For all of Joe's reputation as a guy who doesn't like young players, he did manage that Yankee core to four championships. Yeah, Tony Fernandez was kind enough to get hurt 12 years ago, but I see the Dodgers' core as comparable to what Torre had in NY.
It would help, considerably, if Juan Pierre would retire.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The Logan White Dodgers and Paul DePodesta Dodgers are miles ahead of the Ned Colletti Dodgers. (Joe Sheehan) |
