|2016-06-20 16:00:00 (link to chat)||I know he's not in the Florida State League anymore, but I'm curious about Joe Jimenez. He's dominated everywhere, and with the Tigers needs for a strong bullpen arm, can you see him coming up soon? I honestly know very little about him, and am hoping you've seen him and can let us know what you see. Thanks for the chat!|
(Scott from CT)
|I have seen him! You can check out my eyewitness report on Joe Jimenez right now!
Long story short the stuff is LOUD. Potential 80 Fastball, 65/70 Slider at times, 55 control.
He could be in the major league bullpen if necessary. If they are competing for a playoff spot and he keeps pitching well in AA, then I imagine he will be in the majors soon. (Steve Givarz)
|2016-06-13 23:00:00 (link to chat)||When does Joe Jimenez come up; do you foresee him having the stuff to continue to be productive?|
(Gary from Indiana)
|Could easily be a stretch run guy, what he's done this year is supported by steady stuff in line with his pre-season grades (80 FB/60 SL). (Wilson Karaman)|
|2016-06-09 13:00:00 (link to chat)||How much longer does Joe Jimenez have to go before people start talking about the fact that he still hasn't given up a run in 2016?|
(Ryan from Abingdon, MD)
|If it's still that way in July, it should be a big story, even as a reliever. He's a lot of fun. (Christopher Crawford)|
|2016-06-09 13:00:00 (link to chat)||Can Joe Jimenez be the Tigers closer next year ? He's been amazing this year.|
(Ting from Detroit)
|Maybe not the traditional closer, but a high-leverage reliever, for sure. (Christopher Crawford)|
|2014-01-10 13:00:00 (link to chat)||Hey Mark,
Give me one name in the Tigers organization who will be in A ball or lower next year that's a sleeper, and why. Thanks.|
(Marlin Scurti from Clinton Township, MI)
|Ben Verlander will get talked about because of his name and bloodlines, but he should be talked about because of his skills. He has a chance to bust out a bit if he can take to playing everyday.
A couple of other names worth nothing include Harold Castro, Javier Betancourt, Steven Fuentes and a big one is Joe Jimenez. (Mark Anderson)
No BP Roundtables have mentioned this guy.
