The Stash List: 11th Edition

Cameron Maybin, Joc Pederson, Lewis Brinson, and Derek Fisher all graduate, but there's a new batch of stashables.

Here are the four types of players eligible for inclusion:

Minor leaguers: anyone currently in the minors.
Major leaguers on the DL: anyone currently on the disabled list who is owned in fewer than 25 percent of ESPN leagues.
Closers-in-waiting: any reliever who is not actively getting saves and is owned in fewer than 25 percent of ESPN leagues.
Others-in-waiting: any other player who is not currently active in the role that would net him the most fantasy value.

Fantasy Freestyle: Stash List Supplemental

1

Greg Wellemeyer

Going deep, deep, deep undercover to find prospects (or non-prospects) for your deepest of leagues. Bring your diving bell!

Do you play in a deeper or mono league and wish the Stash List had some names that weren’t already owned in your league? You’ve come to the right spot. Last time I did this, I gave you Dinelson Lamet and Eric Skoglund, both of whom are in the majors and have flashed a little something. On the other hand, I also gave you Ryan O’Hearn, a first base prospect who’s hitting .214/.308/.317 in the month-plus since that piece ran. Such is the nature of deep speculation. I’m not deterred. Let’s do some more.

The Stash List: The 10th Edition

13

Greg Wellemeyer

Hunter Pence, Jacob Faria and Sean Newcomb say hello to active major-league duty and good-bye to the List. A.J. Reed also bids adios, but it's because there's seemingly no way for him to reach the majors right now.

The Graduates: Hunter Pence (Previous Rank: 4), Jacob Faria (22), Sean Newcomb (23)

Pence returned to the Giants lineup Sunday.

The Stash List: Eighth Edition

8

Greg Wellemeyer

Yoan Moncada reaches Chicago, but it's just so a doctor can look at his hand. Hunter Pence can be a reliable offensive source, when healthy. Carlos Rodon is inching closer to a major-league return.

The Graduates: Travis d’Arnaud (Previous Rank: 7), Dwight Smith, Jr. (23)

After missing three weeks, d’Arnaud was activated from the disabled list Tuesday.

The Stash List: Week 7

4

Greg Wellemeyer

Blake Snell, Amed Rosario, Jharel Cotton, Dan Vogelbach, Jose De Leon, Sean Newcomb and Harrison Bader are among the biggest movers up the list. Jose Berrios and Bradley Zimmer aren't on the list anymore—but it's OK, because they got promoted.

The Graduates: Bradley Zimmer (Previous Rank: 2), Jose Berrios (5), Welington Castillo (6), Lucas Duda (14), Amir Garrett (23), Raimel Tapia (24)

Zimmer made his major-league debut Tuesday and struck out three times in three plate appearances. He’s gonna have more games like that. He’ll also chip in some power and speed, and should hold down at least the strong side of a platoon for the duration.

The Stash List: Sixth Edition

2

Greg Wellemeyer

Twenty-five players, major-league and minor, who are worth rostering because they are on the verge of being useful fantasy parts—but for whom circumstances delay their opportunities.

The Graduates: Jorge Soler (Previous Rank: 2), Justin Wilson (13), Mike Clevinger (15)

The Royals activated Soler on Saturday and he started three games in a row in right field before taking a day off Tuesday. He’s hitless in his first 13 plate appearances. Jorge Bonifacio, who had been the Royals’ primary right fielder for two weeks before Soler’s return, remains with the big-league club.
