This is a list of the Top 300 players as ranked by Bret Sayre and Mike Gianella. This list assumes standard 23 man rosters with two catchers, which is why the list is so catcher-heavy at the bottom. If you play in a league with one catcher, adjust accordingly.

ADP is from NFBC ADP, and is updated as of yesterday’s posted rankings on Stats Inc.’s website.

This is awesome. Perfect timing too... I'm at pick 262 in my NFBC draft and all the guys are blurring together.

Jose Reyes at 240, and Trevor Story unranked. What are you projecting the Rockies to do at SS this year?
MikeGianella
3/17
I have no idea. I'm not clear if Story starts as the SS or Adames. Story will move into these rankings if the Rockies are a little more forthright and/or news about Reyes breaks before next week.
wilymo
3/17
i'm not saying the ranking is wrong but i wouldn't poke reyes with a sharp 10-foot stick right now. just feels like he's going to miss the entire season more likely than not. and why risk it when he hasn't even been that great lately anyway.

personally i'd rather have jonathan villar and a peaceful morning cup of coffee

MikeGianella
3/17
People were reacting too far in one direction with Aroldis Chapman; they're reacting too far in the other direction now with Jose Reyes.

Easy to foresee a 50-60 game suspension. Hard to see how the Rockies can simply decide to sit him for an entire year without facing a grievance. Even harder to see the Rockies eating $48MM.

The rank reflects what I agree is a considerable risk but also reflects that fact that he was the 6th best SS in 15-team mixed leagues last year.
wilymo
3/18
see i feel like the suspension could be worse than that. i'm not talking about the rockies sitting him, or the rockies doing anything really.

hard to be sure though, we're off the map a bit on this one obviously. as i say, not really challenging the ranking, just stating a personal "do not want" take. we'll find out if i'm reacting too far in the other direction when it finally comes through

MikeGianella
3/18
It could be. But I suspect past a certain number of games the union is going to push back hard.

| Alex Wood | 9999 | D |
| Yangervis Solarte | 9999 | D |
| Jorge Soler | 9999 | C |
| Jake Lamb | 9999 | D |
| Cory Spangenberg | 9999 | D |
| Devon Travis | 9999 | D |
| Eddie Rosario | 9999 | D |
+-------------------+------+-------+
(D = 2 star, C = 3 star) from the tiers

Notable additions
| Jarrod Dyson | 290 | F |
| Austin Jackson | 237 | F |
| Jose Berrios | 278 | X |
(F = NO star, X = prospect, but no star)

I could have some errors in recording the tiers, since they're no longer in the PFM for easy retrieval.

Hi labrat. Thanks for commenting. A few things to keep in mind.

1) The Top 150 are a composite of the rankings that Bret Sayre and I used for LABR. The next 150 are my rankings. The tiered rankings are finalized by each writer but with staff input. I did some of the rankings. There were cases where I did not necessarily agree with the staff but moved a player up or down if multiple opinions were in a different direction.

2) Many of the players who were omitted were impacted by negative news in terms of their playing time or injury. Peralta, Maybin, Cabrera, and Ryu all had injuries or setbacks since the tiered articles came out. Kazmir's dip in velocity led to his drop. Soler is likely the biggest loser in playing time after the Dexter Fowler acquisition.

3) Nearly all of these players are right on the cusp. In the 15-team mixed bid limits (released today) Peralta, Maybin, Cabrera, Solarte, Lamb, Spangenberg, and Travis all have $1-2 bids. They're right on the cusp.

I knew Jhonny Peralta was injured and certainly did not mean to second guess your list. My league has 16 teams, but with slightly different rules. I needed to highlight players whose valuations had changed significantly and figured it was worth sharing the lists.

Mike,

Kazmir's dip in velocity is an every spring occurrence he picks up velocity as the spring and season goes on. Last clocked he was in the 92 MPH range.

Can you tell me where would you slot him in now that his velocity has returned.

Mike - Great list. I sorted by difference just to get a feel for who you like vs ADP. I'm in a 12 teamer picking 12th and I'd love to get Miggy/Nolan/Kris/Max there.

I think its a timely post to check if there is anyone I left out since I have a job and all.

Question on the up side: Votto - that is pretty bullish. I like him. Love watching him hit and he's been slipping in drafts I've seen. OBP he's up there no question, but ahead of Chris Davis and Springer? That Red's machine could be running on one cylinder this year.

Not a big deal, I think the value is in the later round picks.

Some of this is a product of 1) my belief that batting average is undervalued in fantasy and 2) the idea that RBI/runs - while important - are often overemphasized in fantasy in terms of the loss of value on a poor team. Votto will lose a little bit in those categories, but what he is lacking there he will more than make up for in BA/HR.

Thanks for the list. Im fading Boxberger pretty hard right now, are you thinking he comes back and picks up where he left off last year? Seems like too much of a risk for me realtive to some of the guys you have below him.

Also Matt Kemp vs Matt Holliday - think I would much rather have Holliday @ 226 than Kemp @ 75, feel very similar to me, what am I missing?

Thanks
