 at 2 - Nationals

  • Cardinals SP Shelby Miller allowed two runs over 6 2/3 innings and struck out eight in the victory.
  • Cardinals RP Edward Mujica pitched a perfect ninth inning for a save.
  • Nationals SP Dan Haren allowed three runs in five innings in the loss.
  • Cardinals OF Jon Jay went hitless in his fifth straight game, dropping his average to .197.
  • Nationals 3B Anthony Rendon collected his first big-league hit and RBI.

Pirates - 2 at 3 - Phillies

  • Phillies SS Jimmy Rollins knocked in two of the three runs in a victory.
  • Phillies SP Jonathan Pettibone allowed two runs in 5 1/3 innings in his major league debut.
  • Phillies RP Jonathan Papelbon picked up his 4th save of the year.
  • Pirates SP A.J. Burnett gave up two runs and five hits while striking out seven over 5 innings.
  • Pirates 3B Pedro Alvarez went 2-for-4 and homered.
  • Pirates C Russell Martin stayed hot, going 2-for-3 with a homer.

Brewers - 7 at 1 - Padres

  • Padres SP Jason Marquis lasted just 4 2/3 innings, giving up seven runs on four hits and four walks.
  • Brewers 1B Yuniesky Betancourt ripped a three-run homer, his 3rd of the season.
  • Brewers SP Kyle Lohse picked up the win, giving up one run and five hits while striking out four over 5 innings.
  • Brewers OF Ryan Braun bashed a three run homer, his 6th of the season.

Cubs - 4 at 5 - Reds

  • Reds OF Jay Bruce knocked in the tying runs and scored the winning run.
  • Reds SP Mike Leake pitched seven innings of two-run ball in a no-decision against the Cubs.
  • Cubs RP Carlos Marmol pitched two more scoreless innings and has now gone seven straight innings without allowing a run.
  • After pitching a scoreless 12th, Cubs RP Michael Bowden gave up three runs in the 13th.
  • Cubs 3B Luis Valbuena went 2-for-6 and hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the 13th.

Diamondbacks - 4 at 5 - Giants

  • Giants SP Ryan Vogelsong allowed a pair of homers but went seven solid innings, giving up four runs.
  • Diamondbacks SP Wade Miley held the Giants to two runs over 6 2/3 innings but left with a no-decision.
  • Giants C Buster Posey launched a game-tying two-run homer off of Diamondbacks setup man David Hernandez..
  • Diamondbacks 3B Eric Chavez cranked a solo homer.
  • Giants RP Sergio Romo threw one pitch and got one out while picking up the win.
Braves - 0 at 0 - Rockies - Postponed

American League:

Blue Jays - 1 at 2 - Orioles
  • Orioles OF Nick Markakis singled in Chris Davis in the bottom of the ninth for the win.
  • Orioles SP Chris Tillman yielded one run and four hits in 6 2/3 innings in a no-decision.
  • Playing in a full game for the first time in six days, Blue Jays 2B Emilio Bonifacio went 0-for-2 with a walk.
  • Blue Jays SP J.A. Happ gave up just one run and four hits while striking out six over 6 innings.
  • Orioles RP Jim Johnson picked up the win in relief pitching a scoreless ninth inning.
Yankees - 1 at 5 - Rays
  • Rays SP Matt Moore gave up just one run and two hits in eight innings to move to 4-0 on the season.
  • Yankees SP CC Sabathia surrendered three homers while allowing five runs in seven innings.
  • Rays 2B Ryan Roberts went 3-for-5 and hit his first two homers of the season off CC Sabathia.
  • 2B Robinson Cano homered and singled for the Yankees' only two hits.
  • Yankees DH Ben Francisco went 0-for-4 as the No. 2 hitter.
Athletics - 6 at 9 - Red Sox
  • AL co-player of the week Red Sox 1B Mike Napoli had a grand slam and an RBI double.
  • Red Sox SP Felix Doubront earned a win after allowing three runs in 6 2/3 innings.
  • Athletics SP A.J. Griffin was torched for nine runs -- seven earned -- in four-plus innings.
  • Red Sox 3B Will Middlebrooks hit a three-run homer.
  • Athletics 3B Josh Donaldson doubled twice and knocked in two runs.
Indians - 3 at 2 - White Sox
  • Indians SP Justin Masterson bounced back with a nice showing, allowing two runs over six frames.
  • Indians RP Chris Perez pitched a scoreless ninth inning to convert his third save of the season.
  • White Sox SP Dylan Axelrod held the Indians to one run over six frames but was stuck with a no-decision.
  • Indians SS Asdrubal Cabrera drove in the tying and go-ahead runs with a two-out single in the eighth inning in a comeback win.
  • 3B Conor Gillaspie launched his first homer since joining the White Sox.
Mariners - 7 at 1 - Astros
  • Mariners SP Felix Hernandez secured his 100th career victory by tossing six shutout frames.
  • Astros SP Brad Peacock was hammered for seven runs in 4 1/3 innings.
  • Mariners C Jesus Montero hit his first home run of the season.
  • Astros OF Rick Ankiel hit his fifth home run of the season.
Rangers - 7 at 6 - Angels
  • Rangers SP Derek Holland yielded six runs over 5 2/3 frames but escaped with a no-decision.
  • Angels RP Ernesto Frieri suffered his first loss of the season when he allowed a go-ahead solo homer to A.J. Pierzynski.
  • Angels SP Joe Blanton was roughed up for four runs on 12 hits and a walk over six innings.
  • Rangers C A.J. Pierzynski lifted a solo homer into the right field seats in Monday's comeback victory.
  • Making his first start this season in the No. 5 spot, Angels OF Josh Hamilton went 4-for-4 with four singles and two runs scored. 
Inter League:

National League:
  • Nationals SP Chris Young will make his first start for Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.
  • Mets signed RHP D.J. Mitchell to a minor league contract; assigned him to Triple-A Las Vegas.
American League:
  • Astros recalled RHP Jose Cisnero from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
  • Athletics transferred INF Scott Sizemore from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
  • Athletics acquired OF Casper Wells from the Blue Jays for cash considerations.
  • The Astros are preparing to call up right-hander Jose Cisnero from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
  • Indians activated RHP Matt Albers from the restricted list.
  • Royals optioned LHP Will Smith to Triple-A Omaha.
Injury Updates:

National League:

  • Braves OF Jason Heyward underwent successful appendectomy surgery on Monday in Denver, Colorado.
  • Padres 2B Logan Forsythe will have the protective boot on his right foot removed on Wednesday.
  • Brewers SP Kyle Lohse left Monday's start in the sixth inning after injuring his left pinkie on a play at first base. The club is hopeful that he'll be able to make his next start.
  • Phillies C Carlos Ruiz underwent a second set of X-rays on his left wrist which came back negative.
  • Reds RP Sean Marshall (shoulder) is scheduled to make a rehab appearance Monday night at Triple-A Louisville.
  • Diamondbacks OF Adam Eaton (elbow) resumed throwing on Friday.
American League:
  • Angels RP Kevin Jepsen has yet to resume throwing but said Monday that he "can definitely tell the difference" with his strained triceps.
  • Angels RP Ryan Madson (elbow) could throw another simulated game before the Angels' home stand ends on Wednesday.
  • White Sox C Hector Gimenez left Monday's game after being hit on the left shin by a pitch.
  • Astros RP Josh Fields (forearm) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session on Monday at about 90 percent intensity.
  • Red Sox SP John Lackey (biceps) struck out five over 3 2/3 scoreless innings in a rehab start for Double-A Portland on Monday.
  • Athletics OF Yoenis Cespedes (hand) took batting practice with no issues on Monday.
  • Angels SS Erick Aybar (heel) ran sprints and took batting practice on Monday.
  • An X-ray on Astros 3B Matt Dominguez's left elbow came back negative.
  • Indians C Lou Marson (neck) will be activated from the disabled list on Wednesday.
  • Rangers RP Joakim Soria (elbow) will be shut down for 2-3 weeks with a strained pectoral muscle and is now not expected to return until around July 1.
  • Mariners OF Michael Saunders (shoulder) played some catch from a short distance on Monday.
  • Indians OF Michael Bourn will have the stitches removed from his injured right index finger on Thursday.
  • Yankees SP Michael Pineda (shoulder) threw one inning Monday in a simulated game.
  • White Sox SP John Danks (shoulder) will make at least one more start in extended spring training.
  • Rays prospect infielder Hak-Ju Lee will likely require season-ending surgery on his left knee.
  • Yankees OF Curtis Granderson (forearm) began hitting off a tee and soft tosses on Monday.
  • Red Sox RP Joel Hanrahan (hamstring) threw off a mound Monday for the first time since hitting the disabled list.
  • Yankees 1B Mark Teixeira (wrist) is not ready to hit soft-toss and has not been cleared for tee drills.
  • Rays DH Luke Scott (calf) is on track to begin a minor league rehab assignment Tuesday with High-A Charlotte.
