Hello BP Readers,

Thank you to all of the amazing people who have made this website and community what it is: Dave, Gary, Jonah, Christina, Keith, Ben, Joe, Kevin, Jason, Sam, BP contributors and readers, everybody! An amazing amount of talent and brainpower has been pushed through these virtual pages. A large part of my job will be to preserve and augment this rich history.

There will be some new and exciting changes on the BP landscape—yes, an app! Our goal is to extend the delivery platform while providing the best baseball information on the planet. On behalf of the new owners, I am excited about the journey that is front of us.

I'll be doing a chat on the site tomorrow at noon Eastern, so please drop in and ask me any questions you have.

Jim Walsh

P.S. Pedro was far better than Kershaw. Happy to take up that debate.

"Pedro was far better than Kershaw."

You just lost all credibility for a period of one baseball season. At that level, "far" has no meaning - "slightly", "marginally", "a little bit" better, perhaps - but "far" is the distance between Pedro and Aaron Harang, or Clay the K and Edwin Jackson, not between the quintessential Boston Pete and the best lefthanded starting pitcher in Dodgers history whose last initial is "K"!

Sounds like the new guy is trying to stir up some trouble right here in River City...

I for one welcome our new Pedro-loving overlord. I will unfortunately miss the chat because I'll be toiling in the sugar tunnels, but I look forward to reading the transcript later.

Is Kershaw closer to Pedro or Harang? I can't really tell. http://www.fangraphs.com/graphsw.aspx?players=200,2036,1451&wg=1

The day after Clayton Kershaw day is always such a drag.

Don't think of it as "The Day After Kershaw Day." Think of it as "Boxing Day" or "Greinke Day" or maybe even "Kershaw Day (Canada)."

Wow. An app is long overdue! Don't screw us Android user by making it iOS only.

No I think "far" was the right word.
