Monday night saw just one game on the Caribbean docket,
So this time around I thought I’d rhyme it and rock it.
Last night’s only game was in the Dominican
Where the Tigres del Licey held on for a win.
Lined up on this night was a formidable foe,
The always dangerous Leones del Escogido
But in the MLU, we care not about teams,
It’s the prospects involved on whom we like to dream.
The best prospects this night ended up being losers,
But regardless of score, they’re of interest to our users.
The only run for the Leones came from one aging Tiger,
With Jordan Lennerton homering before he expires.
His lineup was aided by a speedy Nat,
As Eury Perez got two hits in five times at-bat.
Taking an 0-fer in the win was Engel Beltre,
Who’s just not a strong hitter, try as he may.
Back at third was Carlos Santana with his new piece of leather,
Whose defense for the Indians this season could be quite the bellwether.
But the most improbable event of them all,
May have been the walk-less inning pitched by Carlos Marmol.
