  • Tigers SP Anibal Sanchez wrapped up the American League's ERA title in a no-decision, firing five scoreless innings.

Injury Updates:

National League:

  • Reds 2B Brandon Phillips is being considered day-to-day with a bruised shin after X-rays came back negative on Saturday.
  • Brewers OF Khris Davis (hamstring, quad) is unlikely to return before the end of the season.
  • The X-rays on Dodgers OF Yasiel Puig's shin came back negative on Friday, and the dynamic young outfielder is being considered day-to-day.
  • Brewers 1B Corey Hart (knee) has received clearance to begin running on a treadmill.
  • Braves RP Jordan Walden (groin) is scheduled to throw an inning during Sunday's game against the Phillies.
  • C Brian McCann (groin) could get some at-bats in Sunday's regular season finale, according to Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez.
  • OF Yasiel Puig (foot) took batting practice on Saturday and will likely play on Sunday, according to Dodgers manager Don Mattingly.
  • Nationals 1B Adam LaRoche is done for the rest of the year with a biceps strain.
  • Cubs SP Edwin Jackson left Saturday's start against the Cardinals with mild lat discomfort.

American League:

  • Blue Jays 1B Adam Lind was removed from Saturday's game against the Rays after his nagging back injury began acting up on him again.
  • SP Ubaldo Jimenez is expected to start for the Indians in Sunday's regular season finale against the Twins.
  • Astros C Jason Castro (knee) expects to participate in his regular offseason workouts, beginning a few weeks after the regular season concludes.
  • Indians DH Jason Giambi is day-to-day after tweaking his forearm in Saturday's game.
  • Orioles OF Mike Morse (wrist) has been shut down for the rest of the season by the Orioles.
  • OF Yoenis Cespedes (shoulder) is unlikely to play in Sunday's finale, according to A's manager Bob Melvin.
Notes & Rumors

National League:

  • The Brewers announced that manager Ron Roenicke and his entire staff will return for the 2014 season.
  • Now that the Giants have locked up Hunter Pence, they have turned their attention toward working on a contract extension for SP Tim Lincecum.
  • SP Jake Westbrook will start for the Cardinals in Sunday's regular season finale against the Cubs.
  • Jose Abreu will hold a showcase for interested Major League teams in the Dominican Republic on Sunday.
  • The Mets and manager Terry Collins have reached an agreement on a two-year contract extension.
  • Brewers general manager Doug Melvin indicated Saturday that he will reach out to SS Jean Segura's agent this Winter to discuss a long-term deal.
  • Pirates manager Clint Hurdle announced Saturday that SP A.J. Burnett would start the first game of the NLDS should the Pirates advance past the Reds in Tuesday's wild card game.
  • Pirates manager Clint Hurdle confirmed Saturday that SP Francisco Liriano will start for the Pirates in Tuesday's National League wild card game against the Reds.
  • RP Guillermo Moscoso will start for the Giants in Sunday's season finale against the Padres.
  • Giants SP Matt Cain has been shut down for the remainder of the 2013 season.
  • SP Gio Gonzalez will no longer start Sunday's season finale for the Nationals.
  • RP Tanner Roark, not Gio Gonzalez, will start for the Nationals on Sunday.
  • SP Chris Capuano may be used as a reliever by the Dodgers in the postseason.
  • SP Johnny Cueto will start for the Reds in their one-game playoff with the Pirates in Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

American League:

  • Ned Yost has indicated that he'd like to return as the Royals manager for the 2014 season.
  • RP David Huff is likely to start for the Yankees in Sunday's season finale against the Astros.
  • Yankees RP Mariano Rivera said he's "done" and doesn't plan to play at all this weekend against the Astros.
