  • Angels activated INF Howie Kendrick from the 15-day disabled list.
  • Athletics activated OF Josh Reddick from the 15-day disabled list.
  • Tigers recalled LHP Darin Downs from Triple-A Toledo.
  • Yankees acquired SS Brendan Ryan from the Mariners for a player to be named later.

  • Cardinals RP Jason Motte (elbow) began a throwing program Monday.
  • Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Tuesday that he expects OF Matt Kemp (ankle) to return later this season.
  • Reds SP Tony Cingrani left Tuesday's start against the Cubs with back spasms.
  • Giants RP Chad Gaudin (carpal tunnel syndrome) will throw another simulated game Thursday.
  • Giants RP Jeremy Affeldt (groin) will be activated from the disabled list Wednesday.
  • Brewers OF Khris Davis (wrist) is unlikely to be available for the series with the Cardinals starting on Tuesday.
  • Phillies SP Roy Halladay's next start has been pushed back to Thursday due to the flu.
  • Cardinals 1B Allen Craig's (foot) re-evaluation has been pushed back to Thursday.
  • Nationals OF Bryce Harper (hip) is expected to return Wednesday.
  • Braves RP Jordan Walden (groin) could be available Thursday.
  • Pirates SP Charlie Morton (foot) expects to start this Friday.
  • Pirates OF Starling Marte (hand) took batting practice on Tuesday.
  • Reds RP Sean Marshall (shoulder) threw a simulated game on Tuesday afternoon.
  • Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork.com reports that Mets RP Bobby Parnell will undergo neck surgery on Tuesday in California.
  • Mets SP Matt Harvey (elbow) will meet with Dr. James Andrews on Monday, and remains optimistic that he'll avoid Tommy John surgery.
  • Rockies SP Drew Pomeranz (biceps) threw a bullpen session Monday.
  • Braves OF Justin Upton is considered day-to-day after being diagnosed with a bruised right knee.
  • Phillies OF Domonic Brown (heel) took 40-50 swings in the batting cage Tuesday.
  • Mets 3B Justin Turner left Tuesday's game against the Nationals with tightness in his right hamstring.

  • Rangers OF Jim Adduci (shoulder) is available off the bench Tuesday.
  • Angels SP Jered Weaver dealt with some right forearm tightness during Monday's start.
  • SS Jhonny Peralta will resume working out with the Tigers on Wednesday.
  • Yankees RP Boone Logan has reported no improvement in his left elbow since being given a cortisone shot.
  • Yankees RP David Robertson (shoulder) expects to be available Wednesday.
  • OF Colby Rasmus (oblique) could return to the Blue Jays' starting lineup by the end of this week.
  • Rays RP Jesse Crain (shoulder) threw another bullpen session on Tuesday afternoon at Tropicana Field.
  • Angels OF Peter Bourjos' season-ending surgery to repair his injured right wrist on Tuesday was deemed a success.
  • Yankees manager Joe Girardi said after Tuesday's game that C Austin Romine is likely dealing with a concussion.
