Baseball Prospectus Announces Multi-Year Partnership with MLBAM
Postseason Probabilities visual data representation debuts on MLB.com

New York, NY (September 4, 2013) Baseball Prospectus, owner of BaseballProspectus.com (BPro), and MLB Advanced Media (MLBAM), the interactive media and Internet company of Major League Baseball, today announced a multi-year partnership to share data and analysis for new and exciting features coming to MLB.com and BaseballProspectus.com.

The partnership’s debut feature on MLB.com is Postseason Probabilities, an interactive visualization of the current standings and each team's chances of winning the division or wild card, or securing a postseason berth (http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/standings/probability.jsp). Additional content and features will be forthcoming as Baseball Prospectus and MLBAM collaborate to leverage their respective analysis and data.

Ha! Thanks...in time we'll share plenty more. We plan to do all kinds of different and interesting things like the Playoff Odds on MLB.com. We're brainstorming for next year already and have some cool ideas. We're excited too and would love to run off a list, but we need to make sure everything is feasible and we don't promise more than we can handle. Been down that road before!

With the recent redesign (ruination) of Yahoo's sports pages the bseball fan and fantasy community has lost the most assecessible and thorough source of scores, stats and player info. It would be great if some entity, possessing proper respect for the data it is custodian of and those who use it, could fill the vacuum.
