  • Padres SP Ian Kennedy allowed only two runs on three hits over eight innings in a no-decision.
(52-65) Cubs - 4 at 8 - Cardinals (67-50)
  • Cardinals 1B Allen Craig finished 3-for-3 with a double, two walks, an RBI and two runs scored.
  • Cardinals RP Edward Mujica notched a two-inning save, his 31st overall this season.
  • Cubs SS Starlin Castro went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
(52-65) Phillies - 0 at 6 - Nationals (57-60)
  • Phillies SP Kyle Kendrick was pulled after 4 1/3 innings allowing eleven hits and four runs.
  • Nationals OF Jayson Werth went 3-for-4 with an RBI.
  • Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg threw a complete game shutout while striking out ten.

  • Braves OF Jason Heyward went 4-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored.
  • Braves 1B Freddie Freeman finished 2-for-3 with two walks, a double, home run, three RBI and two runs scored.
  • Braves SP Mike Minor gave up four runs on six hits over seven innings.
  • Marlins SP Henderson Alvarez yielded four runs on seven hits over six innings in a no-decision.

  • Rockies RP Rex Brothers picked up his 10th save.
  • Rockies SP Chad Bettis allowed two runs on four hits over six innings in a no-decision.
  • Pirates 3B Pedro Alvarez went 1-for-4 with a home run.
  • Pirates SP Jeff Locke lasted just 5 2/3 innings giving up four walks in a no-decision.
(54-61) Mets - 9 at 5 - Diamondbacks (59-57)
  • Diamondbacks RP Zeke Spruill lasted just three innings in a loss giving up six hits and two walks.
  • Diamondbacks 2B Aaron Hill went 2-for-5 with four RBI.
  • Mets SP Jon Niese allowed four runs on seven hits over six innings.
  • Mets 1B Ike Davis went 1-for-2 with three walks.

American League:

(53-63) Angels - 5 at 6 - Indians (63-55)
  • Indians RP Chris Perez fired a perfect ninth inning to earn his 18th save of the season.
  • Indians 1B Nick Swisher smacked a two-run homer.
  • Indians SP Justin Masterson allowed six runs -- five earned -- over just 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision.
  • Angels 2B Grant Green went 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored.
(71-49) Red Sox - 3 at 4 - Royals (61-54)
  • Royals C Salvador Perez (concussion) went 1-for-3 with a walk in his return to the lineup.
  • Royals RP Greg Holland worked a perfect ninth inning and struck out two, earning his 32nd save of the season.
  • Royals OF Alex Gordon finished 3-for-4 with a double, home run, steal and two RBI.
  • Royals SP James Shields allowed three runs -- two earned -- on seven hits over seven innings.
  • Red Sox SP John Lackey surrendered four runs in seven innings in a loss.

  • Twins 2B Brian Dozier finished 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI.
  • Twins SP Kevin Correia fired seven innings of shutout ball.

  • Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez hit his first homer of the season.
  • Yankees RP Mariano Rivera allowed two homers over one inning, but escaped with the win.
  • Yankees SP Andy Pettitte allowed just one run, but was yanked after 4 1/3 innings of a no-decision.
  • Tigers SP Justin Verlander allowed four runs on seven hits over seven innings in a no-decision.
(67-49) Athletics - 6 at 4 - Blue Jays (54-63)
  • Athletics RP Grant Balfour converted his 30th save of the season despite walking three, throwing a wild pitch and allowing a run.
  • Athletics 1B Brandon Moss smashed a two-run homer.
  • Athletics SP A.J. Griffin yielded three runs -- two earned -- on five hits over 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision.
  • Blue Jays SP R.A. Dickey allowed three runs on six hits over seven innings in a no-decision.

  • Rangers OF Alex Rios enjoyed his second quality game, going 2-for-4 with a double.
  • Astros OF Chris Carter pounded out a solo home run.
  • Rangers SP Martin Perez fired a one-run complete game, striking out eight.

  • Mariners RP Danny Farquhar picked up his fourth save.

  • Diamondbacks purchased the contract of 3B Matt Davidson from Triple-A Reno.

  • Cardinals C Yadier Molina (knee) did some drills with his catching gear on Saturday.
  • Pirates SP Wandy Rodriguez (forearm) said he had "no problems" during a 25-pitch bullpen session Saturday.
  • Rockies RP Rafael Betancourt (appendicitis) will throw a simulated game as soon as Monday.
  • Brewers SP Yovani Gallardo (hamstring) threw a successful bullpen session Saturday.
  • Braves OF Reed Johnson (Achilles) has yet to be cleared to run.
  • Pirates SP James McDonald (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Sunday.
  • Diamondbacks OF Cody Ross was removed from Sunday's game with a right leg injury.
  • Cardinals OF Carlos Beltran left Sunday's game due to a right foot contusion.
  • Nationals OF Jason Werth suffered a knee injury in Sunday's win over the Phillies.

American League:
  • Rangers SP Neftali Feliz (elbow) was scratched from Saturday's rehab appearance at Triple-A Round Rock due to triceps soreness.
  • Orioles 3B Wilson Betemit (knee) will move his rehab assignment up to High-A Frederick Monday.
  • Mariners RP Stephen Pryor recently underwent surgery to re-attach his right lat.
  • Astros SS Jonathan Villar (thumb) is expected to return to the lineup Monday.
  • Angels OF Peter Bourjos (wrist) will not be activated from the disabled list on Monday as originally hoped.
  • Rangers DH Lance Berkman (hip, knee) homered and had an RBI single in his first rehab game at Triple-A Round Rock Saturday.
