  • Phillies SP Roy Halladay (shoulder) threw a five-inning simulated game Saturday afternoon in Clearwater, Florida.
  • Cubs C Dioner Navarro (ankle) is available on Saturday.
  • Mets manager Terry Collins admitted Friday that there's a chance 3B David Wright (hamstring) might not play again this season.
  • OF Brian Bogusevic (hamstring) has been cleared for a rehab assignment with the Cubs' rookie league affiliate.
  • An MRI on Friday confirmed that Rockies OF Carlos Gonzalez (finger) is not dealing with any structural damage.
  • Diamondbacks C Miguel Montero (back) is expected to resume a hitting program Saturday.
  • The Pirates are calling OF Starling Marte day-to-day with a left hand contusion.
  • Braves C Gerald Laird (kidney stone) will come off the disabled list on Sunday.
  • Nationals RP Ross Ohlendorf (shoulder) will likely need at least one more rehab start.

  • An MRI revealed that Blue Jays C J.P. Arencibia is dealing with right knee bursitis.
  • Orioles SP Jason Hammel (forearm) received a cortisone injection Friday.

National League:
  • Braves 3B Chris Johnson was ejected in the first inning of Saturday's game for arguing balls and strikes.
  • Mets manager Terry Collins said SP Zack Wheeler will not be moved to the bullpen this year.
  • Cardinals GM John Mozeliak said SP Michael Wacha will be moved to the bullpen to be used in "higher leverage" situations after his start on Saturday.

American League

  • ESPN New York reports 3B Alex Rodriguez has been disciplined by the Yankees for seeking a second opinion on his quad injury in July.
  • CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that SP Josh Johnson has cleared waivers.
