  • SP Roy Halladay (shoulder) will head to the Phillies' spring training complex in Clearwater, Florida on Thursday.
  • Nationals RP Ross Ohlendorf (shoulder) threw a successful 20-pitch bullpen session on Wednesday afternoon.
  • Pirates SP Wandy Rodriguez (forearm) threw off a mound Wednesday for the first time since being placed on the disabled list.
  • Mets SP Jon Niese (shoulder) is expected to return from the disabled list to start Sunday against the Diamondbacks.
  • Reds C Corky Miller left Wednesday's game against the Athletics with a right quad contusion.
  • Mets SP Jenrry Mejia said after Tuesday's start that he has stopped throwing as hard in an effort to protect his elbow.
  • Mets RP Bobby Parnell (neck) hopes to avoid season-ending surgery.
  • Dodgers RP Brian Wilson (elbow) tossed a scoreless inning Wednesday in a minor league rehab game with High-A Rancho Cucamonga.

  • Tigers 2B Omar Infante (ankle) restarted a minor league rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Toledo and went 1-for-5 with an infield single.
  • Astros SS Jonathan Villar is day-to-day with a sprained left thumb.
