  • Pirates OF Alex Presley singled off reliever Kevin Siegrist's glove in the bottom of the 11th.

  • Cardinals 2B Daniel Descalso went 0-for-5 and is 1-for-17 since the All-Star break.

  • Pirates SP Brandon Cumpton tossed seven shutout innings on just three hits and a walk.

  • Indians C Yan Gomes went 2-for-3 with three RBI.
  • White Sox 1B Adam Dunn went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI.
  • Indians SP Scott Kazmir allowed four runs in five innings in a no-decision.
  • White Sox SP Andre Rienzo allowed three runs -- none earned -- in seven innings in a no-decision.

  • Rangers SP Derek Holland allowed four runs on eight hits over six innings in a no-decision.
  • Angels SP C.J. Wilson yielded six runs on 11 hits over four innings in a no-decision.
  • Rangers OF Leonys Martin hit a walk-off, three-run homer off Daniel Stange in the 10th inning.
  • Angels OF Mike Trout went 4-for-4 with two walks, an RBI and three runs scored in Tuesday's win against the Rangers.

National League:

  • Rockies SP Roy Oswalt (hamstring) threw a successful 36-pitch bullpen session on Tuesday afternoon.
  • Braves OF Jordan Schafer (ankle) could begin a minor league rehab assignment this Saturday.
  • Brewers SP Yovani Gallardo will have his left hamstring examined Wednesday.
  • Braves OF B.J. Upton is scheduled to begin a minor league rehab assignment Wednesday with Triple-A Gwinnett.
  • Pirates RP Jason Grilli (forearm) has vowed to return this season.
  • Cardinals C Yadier Molina will receive an MRI on his right knee and Jenifer Langosch believes a "DL move seems certain."
  • Reds RP Sean Marshall has been sidetracked in his return from a shoulder injury.
American League:
  • Rangers SP Colby Lewis (elbow) will make his next rehab start Saturday with Double-A Frisco.
  • Rangers DH Lance Berkman reiterated Tuesday that he's considering shutting it down for the rest of the season or retiring due to nagging soreness in his surgically-repaired right knee.
  • Rays SP Alex Cobb (concussion, blister) threw a successful simulated game on Tuesday afternoon.
  • Red Sox OF Jackie Bradley Jr. suffered a minor elbow injury that caused him to be removed from Triple-A Pawtucket's game on Tuesday.
  • White Sox OF Alex Rios has been diagnosed with a left foot contusion.
  • Tigers 3B Miguel Cabrera tweaked his abdominal injury charging a ball in the fifth inning of Tuesday's game.
  • Blue Jays SP Josh Johnson has suffered from knee tendinitis this season, according to manager John Gibbons.
  • Twins OF Josh Willingham (knee) will likely begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A.
  • Royals OF Lorenzo Cain (groin) is expected to be ready to rejoin the lineup on Wednesday.
  • Athletics SP Brett Anderson (foot) threw a 57-pitch bullpen session on Tuesday.
Notes and Rumors

National League:
  • ESPN's Buster Olney reports that Cubs OF Nate Schierholtz is drawing "solid interest" in trades.
  • FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that Michael Young will only approve a trade to the Rangers.
  • Joel Sherman of the New York Post writes that the Giants will "definitely" move left-handed reliever Javier Lopez.
  • Brewers OF Ryan Braun was penalized for violating both the labor agreement and the drug policy.
  • The Rockies will likely call up Chad Bettis to start Thursday against the Braves.
