- Diamondbacks SP Trevor Cahill (hip, shoulder) believes he'll make his next rehab start with Triple-A Reno.
- Marlins OF Marcell Ozuna underwent successful surgery Friday to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb.
- Pirates RP Jason Grilli has been diagnosed with a strained right flexor tendon.
- Rockies SP Jhoulys Chacin is expected to make his next scheduled start despite a bruised left groin.
- The Chicago Sun-Times' Gordon Wittenmyer writes that Cubs SP Scott Baker (elbow) "continued to look a little hesitant in snapping off full-velocity fastballs and sharp breaking balls" in his latest rehab start Wednesday.
- Mets 1B Justin Turner was removed from the nightcap of Friday's doubleheader against the Nationals with a sore right shoulder.

- Twins OF Wilkin Ramirez (concussion) passed his latest round of concussion tests and has been cleared to begin his minor league rehab assignment.
