  • Brewers RP Francisco Rodriguez served up a solo home run to Marlon Byrd in the ninth inning, but fanned the other three hitters he faced for his eighth save.
  • Brewers SP Yovani Gallardo was not at his best allowing four runs on six hits over six innings of work.
  • Mets C John Buck hit his 15th home run of the season and tallied three RBI.
  • Mets SP Shaun Marcum was knocked around again, allowing five earned runs on 11 hits over five innings.
(42-46) Rockies - 1 at 11 - Diamondbacks (46-41)
  • Diamondbacks SP Wade Miley pitched eight innings of one-run ball and delivered a three-run double.
  • Diamondbacks OF Cody Ross had his first ever five-hit game and stole his first base of the season.

  • Nationals OF Bryce Harper finished 1-for-2 with three RBI.

  • Padres SP Jason Marquis allowed three earned runs over six innings in a no-decision.

  • Cardinals OF Shane Robinson delivered a pinch-hit single which led to the game-winning run.
  • Making his second start of the season, Cardinals RP Joe Kelly yielded four runs over six innings in a no-decision.
  • Marlins SP Nathan Eovaldi yielded three runs over 6 2/3 innings in a no-decision.
  • Cardinals 1B Matt Adams launched a pinch-hit two-run homer.

  • Twins 2B Brian Dozier went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI.
  • Blue Jays 2B Maicer Izturis finished 3-for-3.

  • Tigers SP Anibal Sanchez tossed five innings of one-run ball allowing just three hits while striking out four.
  • Indians SP Carlos Carrasco was shelled for seven runs -- six earned -- in 3 1/3 innings.

  • Rays DH Luke Scott hit an RBI double.
  • Rays RP Fernando Rodney worked a perfect inning, preserving a three-run lead and earning his 19th save of the season.
  • Rays SP Matt Moore earned his 12th victory of the season, surrendering just five hits and a pair of walks over 6 1/3 scoreless innings.
  • White Sox SS Alexei Ramirez went 2-for-3 with a walk.
  • White Sox SP Chris Sale racked up nine strikeouts, but was saddled with a loss after allowing two runs on six hits and a walk over his seven innings.

  • Yankees SP Andy Pettitte allowed four runs (three earned) over 6 2/3 innings.
  • Orioles SP Chris Tillman was tagged for five runs over 5 1/3 innings in a loss.
  • Yankees SS Eduardo Nunez went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored.
  • Orioles 1B Chris Davis launched his 33rd home run.
(51-37) Athletics - 3 at 4 - Royals (41-43)
  • Royals OF Jarrod Dyson went 3-for-3 with a go-ahead RBI single, a walk and two stolen bases.
  • Royals SP Ervin Santana was handed a no-decision after he allowed three runs over seven innings.
  • Athletics SP Jarrod Parker gave up three runs -- two earned -- in 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision.
  • Athletics 3B Josh Donaldson went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and a walk.

  • Phillies placed 1B Ryan Howard on the 15-day disabled list with left knee inflammation.
  • Padres C Yasmani Grandal will be placed on the 15-day disabled list on Sunday after suffering damage to the ACL and MCL in his right knee during Saturday's game.
  • Marlins acquired RHPs Angel Sanchez, Steven Ames and Josh Wall from the Dodgers for RHP Ricky Nolasco.
  • Mets activated INF Ruben Tejada from the 15-day disabled list; optioned him to Triple-A Las Vegas.
  • Nationals placed LHP Ross Detwiler on the 15-day disabled list with a back injury.
American League:
  • Orioles designated OF Russ Canzler for assignment.
  • Orioles acquired INF Alex Liddi and International Signing Bonus Slot No. 3 from the Mariners for International Signing Bonus Slot No. 2.
  • Indians recalled RHP Carlos Carrasco from Triple-A Columbus.
  • Tigers activated RHP Anibal Sanchez from the 15-day disabled list.
  • Yankees transferred 1B Mark Teixeira from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
  • Yankees placed RHP David Phelps on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 5, with a right forearm strain.
  • Yankees activated INF Eduardo Nunez from the 60-day disabled list.
  • Red Sox optioned INF Jonathan Diaz to Triple-A Pawtucket.
  • Red Sox recalled INF Brock Holt from Triple-A Pawtucket.
Injury Updates:

National League:

  • Nationals SP Ross Detwiler (back) is questionable for his start Monday against the Phillies.
  • Cubs OF David DeJesus (shoulder) has resumed hitting activities.
  • Nationals OF Bryce Harper is expected to be held out of the Nationals' lineup for the next two games.
  • Diamondbacks 2B Willie Bloomquist is expected to be sidelined six to eight weeks with two broken bones in his left hand.
  • Manager Don Mattingly said he expects Dodgers OF Matt Kemp to miss "a couple of days" after he left Friday's game with AC joint irritation.
  • Brewers SP Wily Peralta (hamstring) has been bumped to Tuesday.
  • The Phillies haven't ruled out knee surgery for 1B Ryan Howard.
  • Pirates 2B Neil Walker left Saturday's game against the Cubs with discomfort in his right side.
  • Brewers OF Ryan Braun told reporters that his batting practice session went well on Saturday afternoon.
  • Braves SP Brandon Beachy (elbow) threw a 50-pitch bullpen session on Saturday and reported feeling fine.
  • Cardinals C Yadier Molina is getting his right knee examined.
  • Diamondbacks OF Adam Eaton (elbow) went 1-for-3 and played seven innings in center field in his final rehab game with High-A Visalia on Saturday, and will now move his rehab assignment to Triple-A Reno beginning on Sunday.
  • Dodgers SP Ted Lilly (neck) was knocked around in his second rehab start with High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Saturday, surrendering six runs on nine hits over 5 1/3 innings.
  • Brewers 3B Aramis Ramirez was removed from Saturday's game against the Mets in the sixth inning after aggravating his injured left knee.
  • Nationals SP Dan Haren (shoulder) will be activated from the disabled list on Monday to face the Phillies.
American League:
  • Twins OF Oswaldo Arcia left Saturday's game with a right hand contusion.
  • Orioles RP Steve Johnson (oblique) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session Saturday.
  • Yankees SP Hiroki Kuroda (hip) will start Sunday against the Orioles.
  • White Sox OF Dewayne Wise restarted his rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday, going 1-for-2.
  • Blue Jays 3B Brett Lawrie (ankle) served as the DH on Saturday at Double-A New Hampshire and finished 2-for-4.
  • Yankees SS Derek Jeter (ankle) went 0-for-2 with a walk and handled the one play hit in his direction Saturday in his first rehab game at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
  • Angels RP Ryan Madson (elbow) is hoping to begin a rehab assignment shortly after the All-Star break.
  • Red Sox RP Andrew Miller left Saturday's game in the seventh inning with a left foot injury.

National League:
  • Cubs GM Jed Hoyer said Saturday that he's optimistic about reaching a deal with first-round 3B Kris Bryant.
  • Cardinals SP Shelby Miller will have his next start pushed back to Wednesday against the Astros.
  • The Cardinals have changed their rotation so that SP Adam Wainwright will start twice before the All-Star break.
  • Dodgers OF Yasiel Puig is one of five players on the final ballot for a spot on the 2013 NL All-Star team.
  • Cardinals C Yadier Molina received the most votes of any National League player in the 2013 All-Star Game voting.
  • SP Kevin Slowey will return to the Marlins' starting rotation on Monday night against the Braves.
  • The Padres are expected to promote C Rene Rivera from Triple-A Tuscon on Sunday in the wake of the severe knee injury suffered Saturday by Yasmani Grandal.
American League:
  • Yankees SP Ivan Nova will start Wednesday against the Royals.
  • Yankees SP Phil Hughes will not start Sunday against the Orioles.
  • Yankees GM Brian Cashman wouldn't rule out C J.R. Murphy being called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season.
  • Yankees RP David Robertson and four other relievers are part of the AL's final vote for the 2013 All-Star Game.
  • Orioles 1B Chris Davis wound up as the leading vote-getter in the American League for the 2013 All-Star Game.
