  • Angels OF Mike Trout slugged his sixth home run of the season.

National League:

  • Braves OF Jason Heyward went 0-for-3 and was hit by a pitch Saturday in his second rehab game with Triple-A Gwinnett.
  • Cubs 3B Luis Valbuena is considered day-to-day after X-rays on his jammed right pinkie came back negative.
  • Cubs SP Matt Garza (lat) tossed 65 pitches in his second rehab start with Double-A Tennessee on Saturday, allowing three hits and a pair of walks over 3 1/3 scoreless innings.
  • Giants 3B Pablo Sandoval, who was hit by a pitch during Saturday's game, underwent X-rays on his forearm to rule out a fracture.
  • Dodgers SP Zack Greinke (collarbone) reported feeling no pain or discomfort after Friday's rehab start and has deemed himself ready to start on Wednesday against the Nationals.
  • Giants RP Santiago Casilla (knee) is not expected to be available until Tuesday.
  • Dodgers SP Stephen Fife (shoulder) has resumed a throwing program.
American League:
  • Yankees OF Curtis Granderson went 2-for-4 as the DH in his third rehab game Saturday at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
  • Athletics SP Brett Anderson (ankle) will throw around 85 pitches in his rehab start with Double-A Midland on Sunday.
  • Athletics OF Chris Young (quad) will head to extended spring training in Arizona on Sunday and is scheduled to play in two games before returning from the DL on Wednesday.
  • White Sox 2B Gordon Beckham (hand) hit off of a tee again Saturday and noted that he felt better than he did on Friday.
  • Angels RP Kevin Jepsen (triceps) threw his first bullpen session Saturday since landing on the disabled list.
  • Angels SP Jered Weaver (elbow) threw his second bullpen session Saturday and reported feeling fine.
  • Rangers SP Colby Lewis is experiencing discomfort in his right triceps muscle and may miss his next rehab start.
  • Tigers RP Octavio Dotel visited Dr. James Andrews for a second opinion on his injured right elbow.
  • Blue Jays prospect RHP Roberto Osuna could need Tommy John surgery.
  • Red Sox RP Andrew Bailey (forearm) may be able to return without a rehab assignment.
  • Blue Jays SP Brandon Morrow (neck) will have his next start pushed back to Wednesday against the Giants.
  • Red Sox RP Joel Hanrahan (elbow) confirmed Saturday that he will undergo season-ending surgery.
