  • Padres SP Eric Stults allowed one run in 6 1/3 innings to pick up a win and move to 3-2 on the season.
  • Padres OF Will Venable went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI.
  • Marlins SP Alex Sanabia gave up nine hits and three runs over 4.1 innings for the loss.
  • Padres 1B Yonder Alonso went 2-for-3 with an RBI, run scored and a stolen base.
  • Padres RP Luke Gregerson picked up his 8th hold of the year while lowering his ERA to 1.10.
(19-13) Braves – 4 at 5 – Reds (19-15)
  • Reds OF Shin-Soo Choo hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning.

  • Braves SP Kris Medlen allowed two runs in seven innings, but he failed to get the win.

(18-15) Diamondbacks – 5 at 3 – Dodgers (13-19)
  • Diamondbacks SP Brandon McCarthy yielded eight hits and three runs over 6.1 innings in a no decision.
  • Dodgers SP Josh Beckett allowed nine hits and three runs over six innings in a no decision.
  • Dodgers RP Brandon League suffered a loss in relief giving up two runs in the 9th.
  • Filling in for RP J.J. Putz who left the game with an injury, Diamondbacks RP Heath Bell tallied his 2nd save of the year.
  • Diamondbacks 1B Paul Goldschmidt blasted his 10th homer of the year.
  • Dodgers 2B Nick Punto hit his 1st homer of the year and also smashed a double.

  • Phillies SP Kyle Kendrick yielded two runs in seven innings and struck out six in a win.
  • Giants SP Tim Lincecum took a loss to the Phillies after allowing five runs in seven innings.
  • Phillies 2B Chase Utley finished 3-for-5 with a homer and two RBI.
  • Phillies 1B Ryan Howard homered, singled in a run and walked twice.

  • Cubs SP Travis Wood allowed one run over 6 2/3 innings.
  • Cubs RP Kevin Gregg tallied his fifth save of the season.

American League:

  • Orioles C Matt Wieters drove in three runs, including the game-winning run in the eighth inning.
  • Royals OF Alex Gordon went 2-for-4 with a home run.
  • Orioles SP Wei-Yin Chen went 6 1/3 innings allowing just two runs but took a no-decision.
  • Royals SP Ervin Santana earned a quality start, but took a no-decision, allowing three runs over six innings.

  • Indians SP Zach McAllister continued his strong start to the season, spinning 7 2/3 scoreless frames.
  • Indians RP Chris Perez nailed down his fourth save of the season with a scoreless inning.
  • Athletics SP Tommy Milone didn't deserve a loss but got one anyway, allowing just an unearned run over seven innings.
  • Indians 2B Jason Kipnis went 2-for-4 at the plate.
(14-15) Twins – 6 at 1 – Red Sox (21-12)
  • Twins SP Scott Diamond pitched seven scoreless innings.
  • Red Sox C Jarrod Saltalamacchia hit his fourth home run of the year.
  • Twins DH Ryan Doumit went 2-for-4 with his first home run of the season.
  • Red Sox SP Ryan Dempster struck out eight while allowing four runs — two earned — over seven-plus innings, but he took the loss.

  • Blue Jays RP Casey Janssen earned his ninth save in nine tries, pitching a perfect ninth inning to preserve a win.

  • Marlins C Jeff Mathis (collarbone) will continue his rehab assignment Tuesday with Double-A Tennessee.
  • Marlins 1B Logan Morrison (knee) will begin playing in extended spring training games Tuesday.
  • Dodgers RP Scott Elbert (elbow) threw a bullpen session Tuesday.
