  • Padres RP Andrew Cashner held the Marlins scoreless on four hits and three walks over 7 1/3 innings for the win.
  • Marlins SP Wade LeBlanc didn’t have it against his former team, allowing four runs – three earned – over just five frames in the loss.
  • Padres 3B Chase Headley extended his hitting streak to 11 games, going 2-for-4 with an RBI double.
  • Padres SS Everth Cabrera went 1-for-2 with and RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases.
  • Padres 2B Jedd Gyorko hit his 3rd homer of the year.
(19-12) Braves – 7 at 4 – Reds (18-15)
  • Braves SS Andrelton Simmons went 3-for-4 with two homers and four RBI.
  • Braves SP Paul Maholm allowed just two runs and four hits over 5.2 innings for the win.
  • Reds SP Bronson Arroyo allowed eight hits and four runs over 5 innings while taking the loss.
  • Reds RP Alfredo Simon fanned all six Braves he faced after coming out of the pen.
  • Braves OF B.J. Upton struck out four times lowering his average to .148.
  • Braves C Brian McCann went 0-for-4 with a walk in his season debut.

(17-15) Diamondbacks – 9 at 2 – Dodgers (13-18)
  • Diamondbacks SP Trevor Cahill’s hot start continued, as he allowed just two runs over seven innings while picking up his 2nd win of the year.
  • Dodgers RP Chris Capuano was lit up in his return from the disabled, giving up six runs – five earned – over just four innings in a loss.
  • Diamondbacks 1B Paul Goldschmidt went 4-for-5 and smacked his sixth homer of the season.
  • Dodgers OF Carl Crawford ripped a solo homer.
  • Diamondbacks OF Cody Ross hit his 1st homer of the year.

(15-18) Phillies – 6 at 2 – Giants (19-13)

  • Cliff Lee had a nice rebound start, allowing two runs over eight innings in the win.
  • Giants SP Madison Bumgarner suffered through his worst start of the season, yielding five runs over six innings for the loss.
  • Phillies Domonic Brown launched his sixth home run of the season.
  • Giants OF Hunter Pence went 3-for-3 with his sixth home run of the season.
  • Phillies 3B Michael Young went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored.

American League:

(13-17) White Sox – 2 at 1 – Royals (17-11) (11 Innings)
  • Royals RP Greg Holland blew his second save of the season, allowing one run on four hits and a walk in one inning of work.
  • White Sox SP Chris Sale tossed 7 1/3 innings of one-run ball in a no decision.
  • White Sox 1B Paul Konerko went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts.
  • Royals SP James Shields allowed just two hits in eight scoreless innings, but got stuck with a no-decision.
  • Royals 1B Eric Hosmer went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts lowering his average to .258 and is still searching for his 1st homer of the year.

(18-15) Athletics – 3 at 7 – Indians (15-14)
  • Indians SS Asdrubal Cabrera hit a pair of solo homers.
  • Indians SP Ubaldo Jimenez recorded his second straight win after allowing two runs in 5 2/3 innings and striking out eight while picking up the win.
  • Athletics SP Jarrod Parker yielded four runs — all coming on solo homers — in five innings for the loss.
  • Athletics OF Yoenis Cespedes hit his 6th bomb of the year.
  • Indians 2B Jason Kipnis launched his 3rd homer of the year while 3B Mark Reynolds hit his 10th.
(13-15) Twins – 5 at 6 – Red Sox (21-11) (11 Innings)
  • Red Sox SS Stephen Drew went 4-for-5 with a homer and a game-winning double in the bottom of the 11th.
  • Bidding for his seventh win, Red Sox SP Clay Buchholz fanned nine Twins, but he didn't factor into the decision after allowing four runs in six innings.
  • OF Shane Victorino went 3-for-5 and hit his first homer as a Red Sox.
  • Twins 2B Brian Dozier went 2-for-6 and hit his first homer of the year.
  • Red Sox RP Clayton Mortensen picked up the win in relief pitching 2.1 scoreless innings.
(12-21) Blue Jays – 8 at 7 – Rays (14-17)
  • Blue Jays C J.P. Arencibia hit a two-run homer off Fernando Rodney in the top of the ninth to complete the comeback win.
  • Blue Jays SP Mark Buehrle was tagged for seven runs in six innings in a no-decision.
  • Rays RP Fernando Rodney took his second blown save and first loss after giving up J.P. Arencibia's two-run homer in the ninth.
  • Blue Jays 3B Mark DeRosa came off the bench to hit his second homer.
  • Blue Jays RP Casey Janssen picked up his 8th save in 8 tries on the season.
  • Rays 3B Evan Longoria went 2-for-5 and hit his third career grand slam off Mark Buehrle.

  • Athletics SS Hiroyuki Nakajima (hamstring) will resume his rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday.
  • White Sox SP Gavin Floyd needs Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery and is expected to miss the next 14-19 months.
  • White Sox SP Jake Peavy (back) has been cleared to make his next scheduled start, Wednesday against the Mets.
  • White Sox OF Dayan Viciedo (oblique) is set to begin a minor league rehab assignment Monday at Triple-A Charlotte.
  • Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez (hip) arrived at the Yankees' spring training complex Monday to begin baseball activities.
  • Angels RP Sean Burnett has been diagnosed with forearm inflammation and nerve irritation.

  • Indians RP Vinnie Pestano said Monday that an MRI on his right elbow revealed no major issues from his previous Tommy John surgery.
