(16-14) Diamondbacks - 8 at 1 - Padres (12-18)
  • Diamondbacks SP Patrick Corbin allowed one run in seven innings and struck out seven for the win.
  • Padres SP Clayton Richard dropped to 0-4 after giving up seven runs -- five earned -- in 3 2/3 innings.
  • Diamondbacks OF A.J. Pollock homered, doubled in two runs, walked and stole a base.
  • Padres OF Carlos Quentin, playing on a sore knee, went 0-for-2 with a walk before coming out.
(17-14) Reds - 6 at 4 - Cubs (11-19)
  • OF Shin-Soo Choo hit his fifth home run of the season and the Reds rallied from a two-run deficit.
  • Reds RP Aroldis Chapman rebounded nicely from his rough Friday outing, pitching a scoreless ninth inning to earn his seventh save of the season.
  • Reds SP Tony Cingrani had mixed results in a no-decision, allowing four runs on just three hits and a walk over six innings.
  • After being handed a 4-2 lead, Cubs RP Carlos Marmol imploded in the eighth inning, surrendering three runs without recording an out.
  • Cubs OF Alfonso Soriano clubbed a pair of two-run homers in a losing effort.
  • Cubs SP Jeff Samardzija pitched well in a no-decision, allowing just one run on four hits over six frames.
(9-22) Marlins - 2 at 0 - Phillies (14-17)
  • Marlins SP Jose Fernandez yielded just one hit over seven scoreless innings.
  • Phillies SP Cole Hamels held the Marlins to two runs over eight innings, but took his fourth loss.
  • Marlins OF Marcell Ozuna hit his first career major league home run.
  • Marlins RP Steve Cishek picked up his 4th save of the season with a scoreless ninth inning.
(16-15) Nationals - 5 at 4 - Pirates (17-13)
(12-15) Mets -  at  - Braves (17-12)  (Postponed)
 
(19-11) Cardinals - 7 at 6 - Brewers (14-15)
  • Cardinals RP Edward Mujica notched his eighth save of the season.
  • Cardinals 1B Allen Craig launched his first home run of the year.
  • Cardinals SP Adam Wainwright gave up five earned runs in 5 1/3 innings.
  • Brewers SP Yovani Gallardo surrendered four earned runs in six innings.
(13-16) Dodgers - 9 at 10 - Giants (18-12)  (10 Innings)
  • Giants C Guillermo Quiroz hit a walkoff homer in the bottom of the 10th.
  • Giants SP Ryan Vogelsong surrendered seven runs in 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision.
  • Dodgers SP Matt Magill was lit up for five runs in 1 1/3 innings.
  • Dodgers RP Brandon League took his first loss after giving up a walkoff homer in his second inning of work.
  • Dodgers SS Dee Gordon went 2-for-4 with a two-run triple and two steals in his season debut.

American League:

(12-14) Twins - 3 at 7 - Indians (14-13)
  • Indians 1B Nick Swisher (shoulder) returned to the Indians' lineup with a bang, smashing a first-inning solo home run.
  • Indians SP Scott Kazmir earned his first victory since the 2010 season, allowing just two runs on five hits over six innings of work.
  • Twins OF Aaron Hicks hit his first major league home run.
  • Twins SP Kevin Correia struggled in a losing effort, surrendering four runs on six hits over five innings of work.
(17-14) Athletics - 2 at 4 - Yankees (18-11)
  • Yankees 1B Lyle Overbay swatted his fifth home run of the young season.
  • Yankees SP Phil Hughes was outstanding, scattering four hits and a pair of walks over eight scoreless innings and amassing nine strikeouts.
  • Athletics DH Seth Smith had a nice day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
  • Athletics SP Bartolo Colon turned in a decent performance, surrendering three runs on six hits over his 5 1/3 innings.
(15-17) Mariners - 8 at 1 - Blue Jays (10-21)
  • Mariners 2B Dustin Ackley smashed a grand slam off R.A. Dickey.
  • Mariners OF Michael Saunders blasted a pair of home runs, aiding in the thrashing of R.A. Dickey.
  • Mariners SP Hisashi Iwakuma cruised to an easy victory, surrendering just one run on five hits over his seven innings of work.
  • SS Munenori Kawasaki's seventh-inning sacrifice fly plated the Blue Jays' lone run.
  • Blue Jays SP R.A. Dickey turned in another disappointing performance, allowing seven runs on six hits over six innings.
(20-10) Red Sox - 1 at 5 - Rangers (19-11)
  • Rangers OF Craig Gentry hit his first home run and drove in three runs.
  • Rangers RP Joe Nathan pitched a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a win.
  • Rangers 2B Ian Kinsler hit his sixth home run of the season.
  • Rangers SP Alexi Ogando allowed one run in six innings to get the win.
  • Red Sox SP John Lackey allowed three runs in five innings.
(18-11) Tigers - 17 at 2 - Astros (8-23)
(18-13) Orioles - 5 at 4 - Angels (11-19)  (10 Innings)
  • Orioles RP Jim Johnson earned his 11th save of the season.
  • Orioles SP Freddy Garcia carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning.
  • Angels 1B Mark Trumbo hit his eighth home run of the season.
  • Angels SP Tommy Hanson yielded three earned runs over five innings.
(12-16) White Sox - 0 at 2 - Royals (16-10)
  • Royals SP Jeremy Guthrie tossed the first shutout of his career.
  • Royals OF Lorenzo Cain tallied two RBI in the win.
  • White Sox 2B Jeff Keppinger went 0-for-4 with a strikeout.
  • White Sox SP Dylan Axelrod gave up two earned runs over 7 2/3 innings.
Inter League:
 
(13-16) Rays - 3 at 9 - Rockies (18-12)
  • Rays SP David Price was knocked around giving up eleven hits and nine runs over 6.2 innings in the loss.
  • Rockies SP Jon Garland gave up three runs and seven hits over 5 innings for his 3rd win of the year.
  • Rockies OF Carlos Gonzalez went 2-for-4 with a homerun and three runs scored.
  • Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki went 3-for-3 with three RBI's while raising his average to .341.
  • Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado smashed his first career grand slam.
  • Rays 1B James Loney went 3-for-4 with an RBI and run scored.
Player Transactions:

National League:
  • Dodgers recalled SS Dee Gordon from Triple-A Albuquerque.
  • Dodgers placed SS Hanley Ramirez on the 15-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain.
  • Diamondbacks activated SS Didi Gregorius from the 7-day disabled list.
  • Diamondbacks optioned OF Alfredo Marte to Triple-A Reno.
  • CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Dodgers will call up SS Dee Gordon from Triple-A Albuquerque.
  • Reds signed OF Joe Mather to a minor league contract; assigned him to Double-A Pensacola.
American League:
  • Blue Jays sent RHP Justin Germano outright to Triple-A Buffalo.
  • Orioles sent C Luis Exposito outright to Triple-A Norfolk.
  • Orioles purchased the contract of RHP Freddy Garcia from Triple-A Norfolk.
  • Orioles designated RHP Zach Clark for assignment.
  • Athletics recalled OF Michael Taylor from Triple-A Sacramento.
  • Athletics placed OF Chris Young on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 30, with a strained left quad.
Injury Updates:

National League:

  • The Dodgers are hopeful SP Zack Greinke (collarbone) can return to the rotation in two or three weeks after his successful bullpen session on Saturday.
  • Braves RP Jonny Venters (elbow) could be cleared to throw off a mound next week.
  • Braves RP Cristhian Martinez (shoulder) still doesn't have a timetable for his return.
  • Cubs RP Kyuji Fujikawa (forearm) will begin a rehab assignment Sunday at Triple-A Iowa.
  • Reds C Ryan Hanigan (oblique) is expected to begin a rehab assignment next week.
  • Giants OF Angel Pagan left Saturday's game with a right hamstring strain.
  • Nationals OF Denard Span (foot) said there's a "good chance" he's back in the Nationals lineup on Sunday afternoon.
American League:
  • Rangers SP Colby Lewis (elbow) will begin a minor league rehab assignment this week after throwing 27 pitches in an extended spring training start on Saturday.
  • White Sox OF Dayan Viciedo (oblique) could begin a rehab assignment Monday.
  • Angels SP Jered Weaver (elbow) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session next week.
  • Indians RP Vinnie Pestano is day-to-day with a sore right elbow.
  • Blue Jays SP Ricky Romero underwent x-rays on his left forearm after leaving in the fourth inning of Friday's loss to the Mariners.
  • Orioles 1B Chris Davis (knee) said he hopes to be back in the Orioles' lineup on Tuesday.
  • Rays SS Yunel Escobar is day-to-day with a left hand contusion.
  • White Sox SP Jake Peavy (back) will not start for the White Sox on Monday afternoon against the Royals.
