The first weekend is in the books. Raise your hand if you had Will Middlebrooks with the first three-homer game of the season?

Let's get to the trots!

Home Run of the Day: Dayan Viciedo, Chicago White Sox – 23.47 seconds [video]
Apologies for subjecting you to Hawk Harrelson with that highlight. Viciedo's home run was a walkoff blast in the bottom of the ninth inning, giving the White Sox the victory over Seattle. The real star of that home run, though: those 1980s uniforms the White Sox players are wearing. Nice work!

Also, Eric Hinske hit a mammoth blast into the centerfield camera well at Miller Park (which sits roughly 30 feet above the playing surface) in the 11th inning on Sunday. In Philadelphia, Billy Butler hit his first career grand slam. The ball was ruled a double on the field, however, so Butler stopped at second (invalidating the trot time).

Slowest Trot: Alex Gonzalez, Milwaukee Brewers – 24.98 seconds [video]
Not much to say about the Brewers game on Sunday that wouldn't make a Milwaukee fan cry. Gonzalez, starting in place of the injured Aramis Ramirez at third (meaning Yuniesky Betancourt got the start at first), did manage his first home run of the season. He was one of six players to have a trot last longer than 24 seconds.

Quickest Trot: Michael Bourn, Cleveland Indians – 18.53 seconds [video]
A nice speedy trot from Bourn in his first home run as a member of the Indians. While Bourn did get the quickest trot of the day, it's certainly less memorable than the three home runs Will Middlebrooks hit off the Toronto pitching staff. His three trots – 19.64 seconds, 19.19 seconds, and 19.73 seconds – mean that, even with the trio of taters, he was on the basepaths for less than one minute on Sunday. That's a tough feat.
