The audio kept dropping out when Sam was speaking. Perhaps the problem was on my end. Otherwise, an excellent show as usual.

Wasn't on your end. I think the Honda Fit must have interfered with Sam's signal strength.

The controversy with Girls was that there were no people of color in any of the scenes - even background scenes like the party. Lena Durham replied that she writes the show with people that she is familiar with in mind - those people tend to be Caucasian.

And the funny thing is, that just a couple weeks ago, they were filming in my neighborhood of Brooklyn, which is heavily African-American.

I had never heard of this brake pedal issue before listening to the podcast today. And I am now sure that I, and perhaps other listeners, will be ramming something on my drive home due to inability to find the brake pedal.
