Sam asked if I wanted to write a recap of Game One of the World Series and said I could edit and post it myself, too. As I sit here at work, having not seen the game and having only marginally followed along via Twitter, I agreed. Here is what happened in and around and vaguely at the same time as this game of baseball that was played between the Giants and one of the American League teams that isn't the A's:

  • Pablo Sandoval hit baseballs at a distance unseen by any man or woman
  • I laid my body upon the gears and the wheels
  • Al Albur Alburquer Alburquerque gave up second postseason homer of his career. He has allowed none in the regular season
  • Everyone changed their profile photos to Barry Zito
  • The Lakers are playing the Clippers
  • Justin Verlanded
  • Phil Spector is still the worst
  • Some lady with a giant hat may have sang/sung/singed/burned a song, but that also may have been a week ago
  • Gregor Blanco?
