When last we saw the Tater Trot Tracker, we still thought the Orioles and Nationals had a chance at meeting in the World Series. Two games and one incredible comeback later, both teams are eliminated – and now, after two more games in the Bronx, some are even wondering if the Yankees have a shot at the title.

What a weekend. Let's get to the trots!

Friday's Trots

Bats were relatively quiet at Yankee Stadium Friday night, as the Yankees eliminated the Orioles with a 3-1 victory. They did get some help from Curtis Granderson, who finally connected with the ball. Granderson had a nice quick trot (18.8 seconds), but it was nowhere near what happened in Washington. As the Nationals looked like they were about to steamroll St. Louis on their way to the League Championship Series, Ryan Zimmerman, Michael Morse, and Bryce Harper hit home runs. Harper, who already owns the quickest trot of the season, continued his ways with a 17.09 second postseason trot. It is the single quickest trot the Tater Trot Tracker has seen (video).

Saturday's Trots

Only one game on Saturday and, thankfully, it gave us some good home run moments. The Tigers seemed destined to win this one, taking a 4-0 lead into the ninth thanks to a home run from Delmon Young. Jose Valverde had other ideas, though, giving up two-run home runs in the ninth inning to both Ichiro Suzuki and Raul Ibanez (again). The Tigers did finally end up with the victory thanks to a pair of hits in the 11th.

Sunday's Trots

The Tigers and Yankees combined for zero home runs in the early tilt on Sunday, but it was plenty for Detroit to take a two-games-to-zero lead back home. In San Francisco, David Freese, last year's playoff hero, and Carlos Beltran, the most prolific home run hitter in postseason history (by HR/AB), kept their legends going with home runs of their own.

Ichiro Suzuki......22.23
Carlos Beltran.....22.12
Delmon Young.......21.57
Michael Morse......20.4
David Freese.......19.96
Ryan Zimmerman.....19.28
Curtis Granderson..18.8
Daniel Descalso....18.6
Raul Ibanez........18.18
Bryce Harper.......17.09
