The newest SportsCenter commercial is out featuring Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and SC host John Anderson, but BP takes center stage right out of the gate, as the 2008 and 2010 annuals appear on John’s shelf right next to his Milwaukee Brewers hat (John, you will be unsurprised to learn, is from Green Bay, Wisconsin). It’s a small thing and most won’t notice it even with repeated views of the commercial, but it definitely caught my eye and I found it worthy of being shared.

What's that? I'm a dork? Oh, I knew that. Thanks though.

I always admire the under-shelf cubicle light that I've never quite found a use for. Apparently, neither does John because the only thing illuminated is an empty rack.

Also, the computer needs to be set up in the corner to Anderson's right so that "walker bys" (for lack of a better term) can not see what you are doing on the comp. Terrible location for those who spend 40% of their day reading BP, Fan Graphs, strat-o-matic, chateau heartiste and Freakonomics.

I assume SportsCenter hosts don't have their pay docked if their bosses see them reading BP or other baseball-related sites. Maybe they do the quick window-switch to hide their perusal of the Guardian's cultural coverage or something.
