It's the last day of the season and all sorts of things still matter in today's games (including home runs!). I'll take that.

Let's get right to the trots.

Home Run of the Day: Chris Davis, Baltimore Orioles – 24.92 seconds [video]
The O's have the playoffs wrapped up, but they're still fighting the Yankees for the AL East crown. On Tuesday, Baltimore faced Tampa Bay and James Shield and walked away with a 1-0 victory. That lone run came courtesy of the bat of Chris Davis, who homered for a club record sixth-straight game. What a great time to get hot!

Of course, the Yankees would later beat the Red Sox thanks, in large part, to a game-tying, ninth-inning, pinch-hit home run from Raul Ibanez, leaving the division crown to be decided (possibly) today.

Slowest Trot: Travis Hafner, Cleveland Indians – 25.77 seconds [video]
A home run down the right field foul line for Hafner, tying the game up for the Indians in the bottom of the ninth off Jake Peavy. The "is it fair or foul?" nature of the home run coupled well with Hafner's innate slowness to give us the slowest trot of the day.

Quickest Trot: Rob Brantly, Miami Marlins – 17.9 seconds [video]
A speedy little trot from the Miami catcher. Brantly just edged out Ibanez for the day's quickest trot, who circled the bases on his big home run in 18.06 seconds. Also putting up speedy trots were Scott Rolen (18.26 seconds) and Kyle Seager (18.43 seconds).
