Calling Flores an "INF" - is that because he's currently a 3B but probably won't stay there?

He's played 1b/2b/3b in Binghamton, so INF is probably the most accurate description of his position

And he's played those three positions in the last three days. That's pretty much the only thing to call him.

I was at Bundy's start last night. I'm no scout, but it was very impressive. He sat at 94-96 and touched 98. As I recall, two of his walks were on curveballs that seemed to fool the umpire. They looked like strikes to me, but they broke so much, who knows? He made Nick Castellanos look foolish: three strikeouts and he couldn't even foul anything off until the third AB.

Kevin, I'd love to hear more of your thoughts on Kepler. Has his progress been on schedule? How does he project?

He's a crazy great athlete. Projecting him at this point is nearly impossible. He could end up a great minor leaguer, and he could hit .210 in Beloit next year.

Eleven cents a day, eleven or so pieces to read today. What does that work out to per article? Make sure it goes directly on your electric bill Kevin.

I was at Joe Ross' start last night ... and it felt opposite to how cjhgarmon describe's Bundy's start (comment above) ... sure the results were very good ... but the most common strike was a foul ball ... so I just didn't get a feeling of "overpowering" ... which is what I was hoping for when I heard he was starting the game ... the scoreboard radar readings were consistently 91-93 and I saw 94/95 a couple of times, and none of the other pitchers in the game had readings that high ...

If Dan Uggla can play second, I think the Mets can get by with Flores at the keystone. Its not like they have a gold glover playing there now and Flores can certainly hit for more power than Daniel Murphy.

You grossly underestimate how poor Flores would be at 2b. The notion that you can stick any bat at an up the middle position because their offense will outweigh the defense is misguided.

The guy has a bat. It has to play somewhere. I contend his defensive limitations are overstated, that's all.

Assuming Hamilton doesn't re-sign, think the Rangers will give Martin the first chance to grab the CF job?

Gentry would probably get it if you ask me. Martin maybe takes his spot as 4th outfielder
