The weekend is finally here. Let's get right to the trots!

Home Run of the Day: Martin Maldonado, Milwaukee Brewers – 18.73 seconds [video]
A go-ahead home run in the top of the ninth from the Brewers young catcher. Maldonado has a career .333 slugging percentage in the minor leagues, but has managed his four home runs and a .548 slugging in only 16 games this season. For the third game in a row, John Axford came into the ninth with a lead to hold, but this time he was able to keep it.

Slowest Trot: Carlos Gonzalez, Colorado Rockies – 24.24* seconds [video]
This is a pretty quick trot time to find itself at the top of the slowest trot list, especially on a day when 24 home runs were hit. Gonzalez edges out Adam Dunn's 23rd trot of the year for the spot.

Quickest Trot: Jay Bruce, Cincinnati Reds – 15.74 seconds [video]
An inside-the-park home run for Bruce. The ball squeaked past the outstretched glove of Jason Bay, who then collided into the Citi Field wall with his head. The dazed Bay got up, but not in time to keep Bruce from rounding the bases. At 15.74 seconds, it is the slowest inside-the-park home run of the year (though far from the slowest inside-the-parker recorded).
