Trot Times for May 27

It's Memorial Day, a day off not only for barbeques and pool parties but for remembrance and respect. Let's not waste any time and get right to the trots.

Home Run of the Day: Paul Goldschmidt, Arizona Diamondbacks - 20.56 seconds [video]
I don't know what that ball or that scoreboard did to Paul Goldschmidt, but he absolutely punished them with this fourth inning home run off the Chase Field scoreboard.

Slowest Trot: Kendrys Morales, Los Angeles Angels - 26.21 seconds [video]
One of eight trots to time in at over-24 seconds. Morales beats out JP Arencibia's second trot of the day by a full second for the slowest trot around the league on Sunday.

Quickest Trot: Matt Treanor, Los Angeles Dodgers - 18.29 seconds [video]
I am sad to report that Bryce Harper hit a home run Sunday night but did not manage the quickest trot of the night. He was one of only two trotters to break the 20-second barrier, but his 19.02 second trot was hardly memorable. The home run was hit off Livan Hernandez, though, so maybe Harper was confused about what speed is after his two at-bats against the aged veteran.

The quickest trot belonged to Matt Treanor, who continued to sprint hard even after his ball bounced off the leftfielder's glove and over the fence.
