It's Mother's Day and beautiful. Let's get right to the trots!

Home Run of the Day: David Wright, New York Mets – 20.5* seconds [video]
Jose Bautista hit his third home run in two games at Target Field on Saturday, bringing his season total to eight. The home run was initially ruled a double, however, so Bautista had to stand at second while the umpires reviewed the play. The Home Run of the Day therefore goes to David Wright, who somehow managed to hit an opposite field home run in the massive Marlins Park. That deserves some recognition all on its own.

Slowest Trot: Edwin Maysonet, Milwaukee Brewers – 23.7* seconds [video]
It's really difficult to know if this grand slam trot was really the slowest trot of the day. With the game being on Fox, there's only one video feed and it cuts away from Maysonet as he reaches the plate. However, it does cut back to the players around the plate in time to see what might be Maysonet stepping on the plate. If this time is wrong, then the slowest trot might actually belong to Wilson Ramos.

Maysonet's grand slam was only the second home run of his career, and the first since 2009. He was out of big league baseball for 2010 and 2011.

Quickest Trot: Michael Bourn, Atlanta Braves – 19.1 seconds [video]
Overall, it was a pretty tame day for tater trots. Neither Bourn's 19.1 seconds nor Maysonet's 23.7 seconds are all that extreme. Bourn gets the quickest trot of the day by a hair, beating out Raul Ibanez's 19.15 second trot.
