Let's get right to these trots!

Home Run of the Day: Justin Upton, Arizona Diamondbacks – 22.91* seconds [video]
There were a number of home runs hit on Monday that could possibly fit here. Alex Rodriguez hit home run No. 632. Paul Konerko hit  No. 399. Cody Ross hit a pair of very meaningful home runs in the Red Sox game. Adam Dunn hit his fourth home run of the season. Shane Victorino hit the Phillies' first non-solo home run of the year. My choice for Home Run of the Day, though, is Justin Upton. His home run was powerful, but not particularly meaningful. Instead, he gets the award as a welcome back to the home run club. It was his first home run of the season, and baseball is just a much more fun place when Justin Upton is hitting majestic home runs.

Slowest Trot: Hector Sanchez, San Francisco Giants – 26.87 seconds [video]
The 22-year-old rookie catcher doesn't appear to be the fastest man in baseball or anything, so we probably shouldn't expect too many quick trots from Sanchez. The nearly 27-second trot was still a bit unexpected. Let's just chalk it up to first-career-homer-itis, and hope that his next one comes around a bit quicker.

Alex Rodriguez had the second-slowest trot, making his way home in 25.64 seconds.

Quickest Trot: Josh Hamilton, Texas Rangers – 19.55 seconds [video]
For the second day in a row, we have only one trot coming in under 20 seconds. Of course, on Sunday, that was only one out of 10 trots. Monday's slow day comes through 23 different trots. I'm not sure I've seen a day with so many home runs and so few sub-20 second trots. The next-quickest trot was Jed Lowrie's 20.35 second trot in Milwaukee.

I must be missing something. I have Carlos Gomez in at around 16-17 seconds from last night. I'm sure I've screwed up somewhere. Anyone know what I'm missing?

Ah, I'm on the wrong day. That would explain it.
