We had to get Jason settled into Arizona, we had some technical glitches to sort out, but we're back. Jason and I read through your email, talked about Rangers and Brewers prospects, discuss the strange kind of signing of Jairo Beras and discuss Jason's spring training dairy and how haters gotta hate. Our special guest is Oakland A's outfield prospect Jeremy Barfield, a unique personality among ball players, and then it's the goofy stuff. See you next week, and as always, we hope you enjoy.

Note: We do alert you to the presence of the occasional adult language and subject matter. Don't say we didn't warn you.

I guess I just have different tastes, but it seems like a majority of musical guests involve somebody intoning vibrato-less whole notes on top of a guitar that repeats the same note and rhythm over and over.

I don't even understand this. We've played techno, country, indie rock, death metal, dissonant punk, folk. It surely can't all sound the same to you.

No criticism implied. Maybe I just really didn't get the music in this week's podcast and it stuck out to me and reminded me of some others I wasn't fond of. I'm a classic rock / jazz / classical guy, so I'm definitely not the best judge of the bands you usually play.

Keep up the great work.

I can't tell you guys enough how much better it is for me to get these podcasts downloaded on Wednesday night than on Friday night. More podcast for more commuting.

I can't speak for Toronto in the mid-80's, but there are plenty of places for black kids to get hair cuts in the city now. Eglinton, west of the Allen is rife with Jamaican barbershops. In fact, Global TV, a decent sized national network in Canada ran a show called "Da Kink in My Hair" about one such Toronto salon for two seasons.
