It's not metal and there's nothing seriously protecting the outer cover of a baseball, but that doesn't mean that the large, relatively-strong sphere will find its way into the jaws of death. With the help of the guys over at WillItBlend.com, I present you the answer to the age-old question: "Will a baseball blend?"


No surprises there, I think. After a few rounds of what seemed like some classic blender-avoidance, the ball succumbed – and heavily. The cover was ripped off in short order, exposing all the inner-windings. From there, it quickly became a big mess.

I wonder if Zack Hample took this video into account when writing The Baseball.
