Everything went a little more smoothly in Wednesday's games than they did in Tuesday's, so that's nice. We didn't have quite as many home runs, but, thanks to D-backs, Red Sox, Marlins, and a couple of other teams, we weren't hurting for the long ball.

Let's get to those trots!

Home Run of the Day: Justin Upton #2, Arizona Diamondbacks – 24.41 seconds [video]
Upton's first home run went a really long way, landing at the rear of the centerfield bullpen in Petco Park, but that was nothing compared to number two. His second blast landed in the top-floor balcony of Petco's leftfield warehouse. That's the third floor of the building. If I haven't said it before, I will now: Justin Upton is my favorite home run hitter in baseball right now.

There were also two first career home runs hit on Wednesday, from Alejandro De Aza and Luis Martinez. It also happened to be Martinez's first career hit in the majors.

Slowest Trot: David Ortiz, Boston Red Sox- 29.35 seconds [video]
A grand slam from Papi. I'm still behind on the home runs hit from when I was on vacation, so I know I've missed a few Ortiz trots. But it's hard for even Big Papi to top this kind of trot. Not that it's all that surprising.

Quickest Trot: Austin Jackson, Detroit Tigers – 17.95 seconds [video]
A nice contrast to Ortiz's grand slam. Jackson wanted to get around those bases as quickly as Ortiz wanted to get around them slowly. Dustin Pedroia and Mike Stanton were the only other trotters to come in under twenty seconds.
