Tuesday night was not a friendly night for your humble Tater Trot Tracker. With 44 home runs hits around the league, it was a bit slow-going. But that's what happens when you commit to watching every home run in the majors. Sometimes there are a lot.

Let's get to those trots.

Home Run of the Day: Wily Mo Pena, Arizona Diamondbacks – 21.24 seconds [video]
Oh Wile E. Mo. The two-run walkoff was notable. The very excited trot was even better (especially considering Pena's size). But what made this home run beyond perfect was what Pena did at the start of the at-bat. At some point, Pena is going to get into a slump, but it sure is fun watching him in the meantime.

Slowest Trot: Jack Cust, Seattle Mariners – 26.08 seconds [video]
There are some players where it seems impossible to expect any kind of quick trot from them. As if we were asking them to shapeshift into a cheetah or something. Billy Butler is one. Juan Rivera is another. Jack Cust is definitely a third. Pat Burrell (25.34 seconds) and Carlos Beltran (25.33 seconds) had the two next-quickest trots.

Quickest Trot: Austin Jackson, Detroit Tigers – 18.07 seconds [video]
Seven of the 44 home runs came in under 20-seconds, which is pretty good. Jackson's trot was almost exactly one full second quicker than the next fastest, though. Josh Hamilton came in at number two, with a 19.06 second trot.

Not surprised to see Burrell's near the top of the chart. He was very... uh... deliberate.
