A nice day for late-inning home run heroics. Which, when you think about it, are the best kind of home run heroics. There's nothing more memorable than a late-inning blast that puts your team on top.

So what are we waiting for? Let's get to the trots!

Home Run of the Day: Ryan Braun, Milwaukee Brewers – 22.41 seconds [video]
Braun sat out the game in order to rest his shoulder. He took no batting practice or otherwise swung a bat all day. Called into the game in the ninth inning as a pinch hitter and with the Brewers down by one, Braun made his first swing of the day on a 1-1 pitch from Leo Nunez. The ball landed in the second set of seats in left field, giving the Brewers the lead and, eventually, the win.

Slowest Trot: Chipper Jones, Atlanta Braves – 25.58 seconds [video]
An absolute bomb from Chipper that landed in the upper decks of Turner Field (the highlight says "upper deck", but it looks like the club level to me). It was hit so hard the cameraman couldn't find it and assumed it would land in the regular bleachers. I'm not sure how long it's been since Jones hit a blast like that, but it's always nice to see that kind of thing from someone at the end of their Hall of Fame career.

Quickest Trot: Chris Denorfia, San Diego Padres – 18.02 seconds [video]
One of the quicker trots we've seen in recent days, and one of only three trots to break the twenty-second mark. It should also be noted that Eric Hinske – yes, Eric Hinske – came through with the second quickest trot of the night, coming in at 19.56 seconds. That's not something you expect to see all-too often.
